Okay boys !!! Tell me who you like and why? Regardless of who we get , we’ve got to get some good Offensive and defensive coordinators as well.

Personally I would prefer Joe Brady but my gut tells me that when all is said and done that Brian Flores will be the Steelers next head coach.Obviously the standard is the standard.Comment

Steelers' interview requests are fast-moving, so here's who we know so far: Rams PGC Nathan Scheelhaase Rams DC Chris Shula Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver Vikings DC Brian Flores Chargers DC Jesse MinterComment

Hell NO to Brian Flores. Flores is trouble. Hire him if you enjoy the possibility of being sued. Otherwise take the safe route and don't entertain the idea. I cannot stand people like him who are given opportunities to make millions but somehow claims discrimination.

You got to remember, Brian Flores was on the staff in Pittsburgh for a season. Art knows him. That being said Chris Shula may be a top candidate because of the history between the Rooney's and Don Shula who recommended Chuck Noll to the Chief. The Rooney's know what they are doing. Art II knows what he is doing. Art may guide the coaching selection and participate in the draft shindig in the Burg and then pass the torch. I have a feeling that this may be his move.Comment

Flores should have been kept on imho. He has always been a really good coach. He is someone who should be in the mix. Shula n Scheelhaase could be a special HC m OC. The Ram coaching tree is up n coming. McVay is top notch. It appears Schwwlhaase is very similar to McVay just lacks some experience n will be a HC shortly. Wild card is Matt LaFleur . If he became available it would be hard to not have him at the top of the list. This is like a game of musical chairs. Once guys start to get signed it puts pressure on teams to jump in. We can't wait on this. Do the homework needed and lets go after who we believe is the top dog.Comment

no to flores. already had him and he plays victim don’t need to bring in dramaHow is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

I'd like Flores except.....there's a few questions regarding his character & this is a job you don't want questions hanging over. His schemes work really well in my opinion- would suit the Steelers. Maybe Anthony Weaver is the Temu version of Flores without the character concerns? The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

I don't think they'd go with a guy who has already had a shot and failed ala Flores.
I do feel very strongly that they should hire an offensive guy. Aside from Belichick, guys with offensive backgrounds have been dominating over the past 10 years. Reid, Shanahan, Sirianni, McVay, Zac Taylor, Arians. You have to go back to 2019 to find a defensive guy in the Super Bowl (Belichick). Then at about 2016 going back you start running into Dan Quinn, Ron Rivera, Pete Carroll, etc.
Though, I guess we'll see what shakes out this year. Vrabel, Ryans, McDermott, and Macdonald are all defensive guys. Maybe it'll swing back that way.Comment

I heard on the radio today that of the remaking coaches in the divisional round, 4 are offensive and 4 are defensive in background.Comment

Of the guys being mentioned I wouldn't mind one of the Kubiak's for sure. I'm puzzled why Shula is considered one of the top contenders his resume isn't exactly that impressive, Rams D is like 17th or 19th this season, I get the cap situation but looking online a lot of Rams fans have mixed feelings on him. No to any guy that has already been a HC, I think it'll be a guy like Cowher and Tomlin, 30s, maybe early 40s never been a HC, I do hope it'll be an offensive guy this time.Comment

From thr guys theyve chosen , Steelers seem to be leaning toward a defensive coach. But I wish theyed go with an offensive minded coach . You can get a good defensive coordinator to run the defense but our offense has to come into the 21st century. And… thst offensive minded head coach can help us get our QB of the future.Comment
