The only reason I can see for people liking Allar is that he "looks like" an NFL QB. Size, strength etc. In my limited viewing, I've never seen anything resembling an NFL QB. We got more than he already offers in Howard.

Honestly, I think Rodgers return hinges on whether they can get him another WR, especially since Thielen's retiring and MVS is basically trash. I think CA3 is re-signed at a reasonable price, but that's no improvement. CA3 needs to be #3 or 4 WR. Early outlook on the FA class isn't very exciting, but I think they pull a boring veteran in his prime (Rashid Shaheed, Jakobi Meyers, Jauan Jennings, etc) and give him a 2–3-year deal. I also see a premium (day 1/2) WR being selected in the draft. In the end, that gives you: DK, FA, , CA3, Roman Wilson. That's a solid 5 and I think AR would strongly consider a comeback for that. Whether AR does or does not come back, I think a day 2 rookie (Mateer?) will be selected for a future preseason battle with Will Howard.

Why are we talking about Rodgers return? Like he’s really a good QB ? He’s not . He’s a shadow of what he used to be. The best thing we can do next year is to take one of the QBs in the draft and put him and Howard into a competition situation for the starting QB job. And… we have to add a legit WR from thr draft as well. I see a couple of mocks that have one of the top 4 wide Recievers falling to us in the first round.

Chadman: If not- run with Mason as #1, Will Howard as #2 & draft a mid round guy now. I agree with this. Where we pick there is little chance of getting "that" QB. I've watched all the college QBs worth drafting this year numerous times, and Mendoza is way above everyone else. All of the others are 2-3 years out from being starters, if then. Weak class, take a guy in rounds 3-7 to be clipboard holder #2 and hope they have that rare Brady/Purdy result. FA QBs this year are not the type to win (or even sniff) a Super Bowl, so why throw that money away?

Chambliss from Ole Miss is coming out. His request for another year has been denied. I like him. He is a playmaker. His stock is high right now. The combine will give us the closing deal. I'm with Dizz on this. If he falls to us in the 1st well I dont know but if he falls out of the 1st, use our xtra picks to move up and get him. I want to see his 40 time and watch him throw.

Chambliss is a big fat No! Why do some insist on gambling on smallish QB’s? Beck is a decent prospect in the 3rd round. And bringing back Rodgers is a bad move as well. It’s time to look intensely for a future QB . We won the division this year by a kicker missing a kick ; not by anything we did. It’s time to go with Howard or Beck and give then the keys to the car.

I can get on board with Beck
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

Buzznuter - not a lock Chambliss is coming out. Got denied but he is suing the NCAA for more year. We’ll see. Personally, 6 years is absurd. He is 24 - move on.

Dog chasing Cat is 100% correct. Rogers is cooked. Plays scared. Was absolutely terrible tonight. There is nothing about his game I want back in Pgh.
