I say let Mason play next week. Rodgers may not be able to get his game back. He may have checked out. Mason looked much better today than Rodgers in the same situation. We're not winning anything with Rodgers or Mason. We have to get on with our future and that is playing Mason. Had Mason played bad I wouldn't think what I do.

I just saw that Chase spit on Ramsey just before Ramsey punched him, doesn’t excuse the punch and penalty but slightly more understandable.

I always regret when i can't make the gameday thread - but the Mrs and I were at Acrisure today. So my contribution on these Sundays are thoughts and observations from the stadium. I shall do it in the next post since the return button no longer works in this forum.

The first half pretty much sucked. If the narrative of the 2025 Steelers is they are simply an average team - the first half supported that position. The offense typically needs all three downs to squeak out 10 yards. The defense typically finds a way to surrender 3rd and long. As with an average team, there are always bright spots and a few standout players. Boz, Jaylen the occasional splash play. But as is also the case with an average team, they find a way to mitigate the good. The crowd was restless the first half. Unsure of what we would see. I'm unhappy to report there were quite a few empty seats. I think it's telling that Mason got a large cheer when he entered the game after the half. That being said, the offense was far more productive with Mason. something was clicking there that wasn't clicking previously. I thought AR was pretty solid for most of the seaon thus far and until the LAC game - but there's no denying Mason got more done with the weapons we have. Better offense also helped out the defense - as it should. Steelers kept the ball, kept drives alive and allowed the defense fewer plays to be exposed and when they were on the field - they had more energy at the end of the game. 2 defensive scores were fun to see. They didn't play renegade till near the end of the game - that was kinda weird.

I don't know the extent of Rodgers injury - so there's no QB controversy yet. But I expect Mason will start in Chicago. IF, after having a week as the #1 he balls out - well, we shall see. But Tomlin won't make the change, even if it's warranted. Oh, and even from the stands - it sure looked like Ramsey was spit on. I hope he isn't fined.

Mason should start. Rodgers needs some "alone" time.

I noticed something was new and different with the D on the first play. Every pass play it seems this season has been Watt trying to go wide, a back or TE chipping him, and he keeps going after the QB. On the first defensive play of the game, he went with the RB to the flat, he caught the ball, and Watt was there for the TFL.
