we gave Watt $41 mill per after an awful stretch to end the season.
this might actually be our first losing season if the D doesn’t figure it out.
As you and I have discussed in the past, it was time years ago to get as much value as possible in a trade for Watt.
This is not new in the Tomlin script recently...team underperforms in the beginning of the season...are like 1-3 or 1-4 and then go on a 6 or game win streak. Only to "unleash hell" at the end and lose 4 of their last 6 and get the last seed into the playoffs.
Fans who aren't on the fence begin to hedge on Tomlin, go back to supporting him and ultimately shrug and say he ain't going anywhere...so he's my coach.
What else can you do at this point? It is what it is.
Sometimes if you want a change you got hit the bottom. We are on the bottom defensively right now. We gave up what almost 800 yards in 2 games to 2 sh*t offenses.
Heads have got to figuratively roll. I expect Austin, our D coordinator to get the boot this week. Who will take his place, h*'ll The ball boy couldn't do any worse.

What's the point in firing Austin? Everyone knows Tomlin is really the one running the D.

Brother someone has got to get fired to satisfy the Yinzers. That's why they say heads got to roll. The rolling head was the only thing that quieted the French mob.

I was 100% against trading Watt. Now I'm starting to think I was wrong. He's still active against the run, but he seems like a shell of his former self. Is that now 7 straight games without a sack? Has he made any impact plays in that stretch? This defense grew used to being propped up by Watt's game-changing plays over the past few years. Now that none are coming, it has morphed into one of the worst Steeler defenses any of us has ever seen.
