    Roman Wilson

We have our other starting WR and his name is Roman Wilson. His game features very good speed and quickness, average size ( he's not a smurf WR ) and can be featured on the post routes and corners. A 5,6,7 ,8 and 9 WR, he is strong enough not to jam and risk getting burned with his quickness and speed. His stop & go and change direction ability is also very good. Nothing is wrong with his hands.

He can work the middle of the field, and the deep routes. As I said, he is a massive upgrade over Austin III as a run blocker.

Our new WR coach Azzanni has a grade A prospect to work with. I look forward to him beating the other CB's, because Metcalf is a beast of a man.

Now Austin III has some value as #3 WR. But his game is limited as he is too short to work the middle routes, and goes down easily to tacklers.

Rudolph has shown a nice arm that makes Wilson shine. The two men work well together and are on the same page.

With Rodgers fragility ( he is on ice for the pre-season ) and mental attitude not working / trusting new WR's, this emerging talent I fear won't develop under him. HOF fame resume aside, he is no longer that player and I bet will not start 13 games. Tomlin had Art Smith in handcuffs on Wilson playing last year. Are you telling me he could not learn 4 basic routes? Our depth last year at WR was putrid.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I like what I’m seeing from Wilson. He was a dawg at Michigan and reminds me of Hines Ward.

      Made some nice plays yesterday.

Too bad Mason under threw him a little on the deep pass. He could have had a really nice TD there.

Mr Wilson is healthy now and he has a year under his belt. Last year, a lost year with the injuries, he got a chance to be around Sunday ball and lets see if he can earn starting time and be productive.
The good thing about our wr's is we have some vertical speed and that should keep the boxes lighter and may help the ground game. That is yet to be seen but in theory it should hold true.

I'm feeling good about Wilson as the WR2 and the receiving room in general. Scotty Miller keeps getting open and catching everything that comes his way and even the young UFAs have impressed. Woods might be sent packing.

From the sound of it, the writing is on the wall for Woods.

Ive been looking at the Isiah Bond situation and now that he’s been cleared , I think he’s a free agent correct? If so, why can’t we go after him? Why is he only linked to the Browns?

Why would you want to sign another pipsqueak at WR? Already have Austin and Wilson.

Wilson is a dangerous combination of FAST. He has very good ACCELERATION. And has a good change of direction ability to run routes.

No saftey can cover him. It will take a very good # 2 cb at least ...and most teams do not have that.

Yes -- teams will have a lighter box vs. us ( good point ) , and as I said he is a good blocker.

It appears Bond, Isiah Bond has signed with the Browns.

He is not as small as Calvin Austin. Bond is 5 '11, 181 pounds. Almost six feet. Austin is 5'9 and maybe 160 . Bond would have been at worse a 3rd round pick. We need quality & depth at the WR position. Oh well, he's a brown. His career is over before it even started.

Former Jaguars and Bills WR Gabe Davis is flying back to Pittsburgh today and is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Tuesday for a second time this off-season, per source. Steelers continue seeking WR help.

What’s up with Gabe Davis? Is he over valuing himself?
