How would you feel about a Super Bowl ring with Rodgers?

Let's say the stars aligned, Rodgers pulled out his inner Tom Brady and has one of the best seasons of his career and the Steelers win number 7, mostly because of him willing it. How would you feel?

Personally, I'm sure I'd enjoy the ride but it would be missing something. There's no way I'd have the same feeling as I had when Ben - the face of our franchise - won number 5 and 6 or when Terry - also the face of the franchise - won 1-4. To me, Rodgers is the face of the Packers. And mostly an unlikable guy. And the only QB to beat Ben in a super bowl. The Steelers traditionally prided themselves on building from the draft. This is a very odd marriage.

Elated. Exactly the same as when Ben won ring 6!!

Happy, but missing something because the face of another franchise was responsible.

Not really worried about it because it won't happen. And it's not because Rodgers' is QB. It's because this team has too many other holes, questions and weak spots to compete.

Throughout the SB era how many teams have won the SB with a QB they didn't draft. I can think of Jim Plunkett, Raiders and I believe Earl Morral, Dolphins. That's it.

The odds are against it happening. Rodgers kind of fits in the Earl Morral line. Oh yeah Len Dawson won for the Chiefs and we drafted him.

I just remembered Drew Brees, Saints. Peyton Manning, Broncos. What's that about every 10 years. It's been about 10 years since Manning won. Who knows.

I feel great winning power ball to, but it is not going to happen.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Agreed. Which makes it all the dumber to bring in a soon-to-be 42 year old QB for a year.

But the question is how you would feel IF the stars aligned and it DID happen!

Turns out it's a common occurrence. About every 5 years. Maybe a smart move on our part.

This is a terrible thread subject. It will never happen because we have a bad owner who can’t recognize he’s out of touch with how modern teams operate and we have a cheer leader head coach who really isn’t that good of a coach.

It's a hypothetical. No one twisted your arm to read it or reply to it!

                      I'd feel awesome about it.

It would be a huge underdog story and one of the best playoff runs of all time.

Hard to imagine us winning #7 and it not being special.

If we win a Super Bowl I don’t care who the QB is.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Any Steeler fan who wouldn't be ecstatic over a Super Bowl win would reveal themself to not be a Steeler fan.
