    Uh-oh

According to this report, the Steelers really like Jalen Milroe, and would spend their first-rounder on him.

If this is true, then I predict he will be the pick at #21, because no one else will have graded him that highly. This would be a big mistake, IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I like the athletic ability and the potential upside Milroe brings to the position... in the right system, with the right coaching, I think he could blossom... I just have a lot of doubt that the Steelers would be able to do the necessary developing

Does anyone remember his performance in the Senior Bowl?? I've seen better high school quarterbacks!! If they take this guy there they are absolutely tanking the season.

Way too risky to spend a 1st round pick on, IMO

If there is one guy who I don't trust when it comes to reporting on the Steelers, it's this guy. I'll pass rather than overreact to this.

When Cowherd says something positive about the Steelers it's usually very grudgingly, and an obvious after-the-fact take. He's been hot and cold on Tomlin over the years, hot and cold on Roethlisberger. Generally dismissive of anything they do. But he does his job well. That is, gets clicks.

This feels a lot like the Willis hype to me.

Andrew Berry: Jalen Milroe may be the only NFL QB faster than Lamar Jackson

                April 18, 2025

Quarterback Jalen Milroe recently said that his “superpower” is being able to play one step faster than his opponents in the passing game and running game.

But one of the teams that could be targeting Milroe touted one of those skills over the other when describing his play this week.

Browns General Manager Andrew Berry said Milroe has “rare physical talent” on Thursday.

“He may be the only quarterback when he gets in the NFL, who’s faster than Lamar [Jackson]. Don’t tell Lamar I said that, please,” Berry said with a laugh at his pre-draft press conference. “[Milroe has] rare physical gifts. He’s strong, he’s fast, he’s got a really strong arm. And any system that you build around him, you want to take advantage of the fact that he has things that no other players at the position have.”

Cleveland also has one advantage over other teams in evaluating Milroe in that offensive coordinator Tommy Rees held the same position at Alabama in 2023, Milroe’s first year as a starter.

“It helps a lot,” Berry said. “I mean to have been at Alabama with him for a full year, calling plays for him, knowing his strengths and weaknesses — it helps a lot.”

In 2023, Milroe completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 2,834 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions while rushing for 531 yards with 12 TDs. Last season, he completed 64.3 percent of his throws for 2,844 yards with 16 touchdowns with 11 interceptions, rushing for 726 yards with 20 scores.

Quarterback Jalen Milroe recently said that his “superpower” is being able to play one step faster than his opponents in the passing game and running game.

any qb at #21 (other than ward)will be a major reach and huge knee jerk reaction.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac said that the Steelers “have a first-round grade on Jaxson Dart, and they really like Shedeur Sanders,” but view drafting a defensive tackle as the priority.

Dulac said that defensive tackle prospects Mason Graham, Walter Nolen, Derrick Harmon and Kenneth Grant sit atop the Steelers’ draft board. The Steelers have reportedly offered Aaron Rodgers a one-year deal and are “willing to wait” for his decision, at least for now. Dulac said that the Steelers “are still spooked by the whole Kenny Pickett evaluation,” adding that “they took the best quarterback of a very average draft class, and I don’t think they want to make that mistake again.” Per Dulac, both Dart and Sanders will be “in the conversation” for the Steelers, if their preferred defensive linemen prospects are gone, but the “pecking order” is believed to be “defensive line, running back, wide receiver and quarterback, and you throw a cornerback in there somewhere.” Dulac “firmly” believes that the Steelers are “all in” on trading up for a “marquee” quarterback prospect in 2026, if nothing pans out this year.
