    Rushing Offense Approaching Passing Efficiency

As measured by EPA, rushing is closing the gap with the passing game. And it's all about the mobile QB's part in closing that gap.

The biggest shift in running comes from the quarterbacks. While we might not have the golden age of Manning/Brady/Brees-type passers, we’re absolutely in the golden age of mobile quarterbacks.

With defenses trying to force quarterbacks to throw the check-down, a significant number of quarterbacks can use their legs as the check-down option.

With generally less passing talent at the QB position they are scrambling far more often for more yards.

In 2017 there were just 4 QBs that rushed for 400+ yds. In 2020, the number was 7, and in 2024 it rose to 9!

And Tomlin wants one that can’t run
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
