Steelers with yet another bad NFLPA report card

The player hate everything about the team with the one shining exception of Coach Cool Dad. Apparently, lack of discipline and accountability pays huge dividends when it comes to grading the guy in charge.

Good lord, Re: the bad strength and conditioning grade, looks like the new S&C coach was at BC with Dino Tomlin. The coaching hires just keep getting worser and worser.

Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Tomlin may have made one of his worst hires by tabbing Phil Matusz as the team's Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Tomlin is a magician with his babble.
Enough to trick the players and owner into thinking this is success.
Seems odd that the owner doesn’t care about the players view of the organization.
What FAs would want to play here when they see how much the players hate it here?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I wonder what do they specify as an A in each category. Do they say what a good training room looks like or this is what it should have in it regarding equipment. I read the article and it said the training room was near railroad tracks. It said our stadium is old. Who interprets the responses as to what grade or ranking.

This is just the unions way of stirring the pot. If you remember the union has had disagreements with the Steelers in the past.

I wonder how long has this team approval survey been going on? How did we rank between 2005 and 2012. If we rank so low how can Tomlin rank so high. You would think a good coach would go to the mat for better facilities. I believe every facility is good it's just a matter of how good.

          That's not true.

Tomlin once took the ping pong table away for a week.

I just saw this, not a good look for the team, ranked 28th overall and Rooney gets a D yikes. Tomlin gets the A as pointed out but if you look at the list like 2/3 of the coaches either get A+, A or A-, barely any B's or C's.

                Only one owner got a F -

Jets owner Woody Johnson receives 'F' grade on report card from players

                  True.
Was the the year the team unleashed hell after the ping pong table lesson?

This is a brutal review of the Strength and conditioning coach and his staff. He should be personally reaching out to every player to see what they need and how his team can meet those needs. It definitely does not involve pushing heavy sleds for no reason.

Just so we're clear...it's bad when players rank the Steelers poorly in a category? And it's bad when they rate us positively in a category too?

Because your prior is that we're bad.

Out of curiosity, did you check to see how PHI and KC ranked in this survey?

My point is that Tomlin runs a country club environment with little to no accountability.
