Steelers need to trade for Myles Garrett...

The Steelers should trade for this guy immediately!!!!!

"As a kid dreaming of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl -- and that goal fuels me today more than ever," Garrett wrote. "My love for the community of Northeast Ohio and the incredible fanbase of the Cleveland Browns has made this one of the toughest decisions of my life. These past eight years have shaped me into the man that I am today.

"While I've loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won't allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.

"With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns."

Oh wait a minute...he said he wants to compete and win a Super Bowl.

Please disregard this message, as it doesn't apply to the Steelers anymore.

Yeah it's a bit of sarcasm, but besides fanboys, no one thinks this team is close to that goal.

Respect Garrett for valuing the trophy, Cam Newton was recently asked if he’d trade his regular season MVP for a ring, flatly said no.

Brownies have stated they're not accepting trade offers for Garrett.

        1) I am not shocked by the Brown's response

        2) Doesn't really mean he will stay in Cleveland

You want to have as much bargaining power as possible. You wouldn't readily say "Come get your All Pro DL here!"

Why not? His stats in the postseason would fit right in with Watt's:

However, what's most important is that PFF undoubtedly will give Garrett a higher grade because of his better "pass rush win rate".

Good teams can take away one edge rusher in the playoffs, especially when he rushes from the same spot every play.

BTW, Watt and Garrett’s PFF grades were nearly identical this year, 92.2 and 92.3, despite Myles having more sacks, QB hits, and TFL.

It’s almost as if I’ve been right all along about PFF grading more than just the fraction of plays that show up on a stat sheet.

Pfft, PFF should be used to grade horseshoes since "almost" counts.

So whatever draft and possible player trade they get. It would be the same for Watt correct?
So SB ready teams only. What are they going to get, even 2 firsts will be end of round both years? Probably just a money play anyway. Interesting development though.

If the Steelers are going on with business as usual, and they are, why wouldn’t they want a guy like Garrett? Line up and beat your man requires having better men at most positions. Load up as much as possible and give it your best shot.

I think there's very little chance the CLE would trade him to a team in the division.

The humiliation would be insane in that case.
