Maybe the incident is GA is just what was needed to wake Ben up.

    Re: SI Article On Ben

I hope so, but I have to say, I'm not optimistic. Over-inflated ego is not all that easy to cure. If Ben were 15 years younger, I'd feel better about his chances for reform.

The same ego that drives him to continue to ride his motorbike without a helmet will, I fear, cause him to continue to live on the edge when it comes to his treatment of people and his sexual conduct.

I hope I'm wrong. But I think the odds are, in the next 12 to 18 months, we'll be hearing another big "bad news" story about Ben.

i'll take the other side of your prediction. Ben is a winner and will respond to adversity the way winners do...he will learn from this very humbling experience and become both a better player and human being.

Will you guys WHINE to SI and tell them to quit posting the TRUTH about your hero? Face it Ben Roethlisberger is what he is and you are not a Ben Hater if you tell the truth about the guy, nor are you obsessive, you are just telling the truth. If I swung from his nuts in every post like most of you do would you tell me to stop? Would you call me obsessive? NO you wouldnt, you would just tell me to make room on his sack for you.

            Re: SI Article On Ben

So, basically this article states that Ben did nothing wrong but be an @$$ho!e and generate bad PR...

Yeah, it's his own fault, but he isn't a criminal....

Michael Vick has more acceptance because he's had his day in court and paid his debt to society because he actually committed a crime...

Ben will never have his day in court...he will be forever instructed by lawyers and the NFL to keep his head down and allow the story to die instead of speaking up and maintaining the media hype...he will be forever judged in the court of public opinion and found guilty, all without being able to present a defense...

It sucks, but the reality is that he made his bed...high profile people aren't allowed to do these things in the age of sensationalized media...

But, those of you who feel comfortable sitting in judgment of a person that you don't personally know nor has ever been charged with a crime, I'm jealous...

            That must be fun...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I agree. This is tough love from the NFL and the Steelers. I think Ben will come out of this a better person.

Hopefully the girl involved in this is also getting help to prevent her being a drunken slut in the future.

This is something that is hard to swallow...

"Four days before the McNulty incident, Roethlisberger visited Cabo Wabo Cantina on the grounds of the Harrah's resort with Joyner, Barravecchio and a female friend. There, according to a lawsuit filed by former Cabo Wabo waiter Alvaro Brito, the group "mocked, made fun of and mimicked" Brito while he asked the woman for I.D. to prove she was 21. (Roethlisberger produced the I.D., which showed her to be 27.) As the quarterback left, the lawsuit alleges, he asked Brito if he knew who Koster was and told Brito that Koster was a friend of his. A few days later Brito, who had worked for Harrah's for 12 years and earned $47,000 a year, was fired. He says he was told that the order came from Koster and that it resulted from the encounter with Roethlisberger's group. Brito, who now manages a restaurant in Carson City, Nev., was advised by his lawyer not to speak to SI, nor did Koster or Monroe respond to interview requests. In its response to the McNulty lawsuit, Harrah's said it "engaged in no wrongdoing, and has no liability whatsoever in these circumstances."

..........so basically Ben got this man fired who was simply doing his job. I guess Ben is just bigger than the common man. Wow..........

We have no idea what really happened or the reason for the man being fired. With that said, if...and I mean if it happened that way Ben is a douche+. When you offend a narcissitic ego (ie how dare you ask for id...don't you know who I am???) it will elicit narcissistic rage...basically an overly emotional reaction to someone who doesn't feed that ego.

I heard that Todd Bridges just wrote a book and has been sober for 17 years. But everyone still thinks he's an F up.

I imagine this is going to stick to Ben forever since he had no trial.

The only thing that can save him is if this is due to his bad concussions/brain. That's the only way people may feel sorry for him. But he'd have to quit football to get this redemption.

Todd Bridges was actually charged with crimes and might have been convicted, I'm not sure. I don't think it will stick with Ben, provided he cleans his sorry act up and begins to treat people with some respect and gets rid of the supercilious attitude.

TB admits to being a drug dealer, pimp, shooting people, etc. He was all messed up. Said he got molested by his mom's boyfriend and his dad didn't believe him and it crushed him.

He admits he was crazy/dellusional. But he's gotten off drugs and still has to defend himself constantly 17 years later.

                        It's sad.

Ben on the other hand just has to overcome being a jacka$$. And I suspect it will always stick to him.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
