    Updated Tomlin stats

Only 4 years out of 18 with a playoff win
3 playoff wins the past 14 years
2 years out the last 14 with a playoff win
    8-11 playoff records
3-8 record since the majority of cowhers players and coaches left
    Team turned over several times
    numerous coordinators hired
Tomlin given more authority in hiring and drafting players every year
players continue to ‘love’ playing for him(wonder why?)
did I miss anything or have an incorrect stat?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

How about these gems from the Post Gazette:

    • The playoff-win drought of eight years is the Steelers’ longest since a streak that began in the 1960s (they actually didn’t win a single playoff game, ever, until 1972).

    • The average margin of defeat in their six-game playoff losing streak is more than two touchdowns.

    • They have also missed the playoffs nearly 40 percent of the time in those eight years — three out of eight — and have been disregarded as double-digit underdogs in each of their past three.

    • They have won three playoff games in the past 14 years, or half as many as the Houston Texans in that time frame.

    • Tomlin owns the NFL record for most consecutive playoff games surrendering 40 points or more (three, from 2017-21)

    • No Steelers defense had ever allowed a running back to do what Derrick Henry did Saturday — rush for 186 yards in a playoff game.

    • The division title drought of four years is the Steelers’ longest since a streak that began in the late 1980s.

    • In five of the past seven years, the Steelers have lost at least three games in December.

    • The Steelers ended this season on a five-game losing streak in which they were outscored 137-73.

    • The Steelers have not beaten an upper-echelon quarterback in a playoff game in 15 years.

I would take out the "Cowher's players" and the "players love playing for him" lines.

I would add a recent stats of points allowed and average margin of loss.

Outscored 73-0 in the first quarter of the last six playoff losses.

8-9 playoff record with Ben at QB, 0-2 without.

Cowher 5-1 with Ben, 7-8 without.

          More gems:

The Steelers are the first 10-win team in NFL history to end the season on a five-game losing streak (including playoffs), showcasing how poor Pittsburgh has been to close out the year.

The Steelers were outscored by 52 points during that stretch, scoring just 14.3 points per game.

The 2024 Steelers belong in the group of worst collapses in NFL history. They have a case to be the worst.

Chuck Noll never went more than 4 seasons without a playoff win

Bill Cowher never went more than 3 seasons without a playoff win

Mike Tomlin.... EIGHT 8 seasons without a playoff win. How long until enough is enough?

Mike McCarthy has better stats than Tomlin and is always on the hot seat while Tomlin not only gets a pass, but gets more authority.

McCarthy - 18 seasons. 12 playoff appearances. 8 Division titles. 11-11 playoff record.

Tomlin - 18 seasons. 12 playoff appearances. 7 Division titles. 8-11 playoff record.

Tomlin has a much better press secretary.

Bad 4th down decisons in when to go for it, and when to kick.
Next the no adjustments during games.
                  Zero coaching tree

                  I coul add more.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

                    THIS.

And Ben is Tomlin's legacy and the main reason he won all of those games.

No coaching tree is arguably the biggest indictment against Tomlin. Seriously, how can you be an NFL head coach for 18 years, and not have a single former subordinate anywhere in the league?

And why is that NEVER mentioned anywhere in the media? Well, we know why

I say it is not playoff wins for 8 years and counting. Seriously has here been a head coach in the NFL since the NFL-AFL merger who has not been fired with this track record. Okay Marvin Lewis. Anyone else?
