    The Bright Side

Steelers are now one pick ahead of the Ravens in the next draft. And depending on how the post season goes, they could be right back at Pick 20 again for a redo on QB!

The Bright side is if we somehow find a way to beat the Bengals we get to play the worst AFC playoff team besides ourselves in the Texans.

Bright side 2, Russ should be easier to re sign now.

Why do you want to resign Russ?

I think most of our problems are anti Russ.....and i think we can do a lot worse than Russ as seen with Pickett & Trubisky......not saying i don't want to draft another QB high. Need to always have 2 decent QBS, and we all know Russ is old & just a band-aid we still need to look for our next future franchise QB..........BUT don't kid yourself we wouldn't even be a playoff team this year without Russ.

Best case scenario we draft a QB in round 1 or 2 next year that develops immediately & we sign Russ for 2 more years.

Worst case scenario we draft a QB in round 1 or 2 next year like Kenny Pickett that doesn't develop when we have so many other needs.

Every team has a lot of other needs. Always. The teams with the Mahomes, Allen etc are almost always the only teams going far in the playoffs. So you gotta keep trying to get the next Bradshaw, Big Ben....ALWAYS

And Russ isn’t that guy anymore, so why keep him? If you ain’t got your franchise QB, keep looking. I’d rather they draft a guy in the 1st and use the money they save by NOT paying Russ to fill other holes.

                    Pfft.

This is a weak QB class, we would just be wasting our first round draft pick like we did on Kenny Pickett.

Why? Because you might draft a Caleb Williams & need a year or two or bust. Why don't you want a backup QB capable who can start if needed? If Russ plays well in the playoffs you'll all change your mind again. 4 weeks ago it was a no brainer to extend Russ. Eagles & Chiefs might have the 2 best defenses in NFL.
