    Tomlin supporters are blind

10-7 and 1 and done. Yea, he’s hall of fame. Our team is full of “can’t make a play” players.

As long as he is coach, Tomlin supporters and “Steeler” supporters are one and the same my friend.

One literally cannot see Steeler success apart from its coach so doing nothing but whining over something you cannot change is an exercise in futility.

If Tomlin was fired tomorrow, I’d root for the next coach to win the SB. I would support him. Why would a so called Tomlin supporter do that?

I always root for the STEELERS COACH because I am a STEELER fan.

Tomlin supporters might be blind, but not supporting the coach because f your team is stupid.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

It’s not that I don’t root for Tomlin and maybe supporter was the wrong word to use but you know what the hell I’m talking about. I’m not looking for a high horse moment. He needs to be fired because he’s mediocre, if you’re satisfied with mediocre than hurray for you, but I don’t like mediocre. I wanna win a goddamn Super Bowl.

Third week in a row the team looks terrible. And not feeling all that good about the Bengals game. So many costly penalties, bad plays and not being focused.

During the season I rooted for the man. I was hopeful he would turn it around. When asked during the offseason after 22’ I said I didn’t think he was very good. But when the season started I again rooted for him to succeed because his success is Steelers success. I was certainly not unhappy that he was fired, then I rooted for the interim guys. I root for Smith right now because HIS success is Steelers success.

We punted on 4th and 2 down 19 points with under 7 minutes left.
That would get some guys fired. A joke.

                    More “poor communication”

                    More botched challenge

                    More back-breaking turnovers

                    More receivers running wide open.

                    More predictable first downs.

and icing on the cake punting on 4th and 2, with at least a glimmer of hope.

this more than likely ends in. 10-7 and a total playoff collapse

I get what you’re saying and I wish I was a better person. However, I’m not fulfilled in my football life. I was a good player, my sons were even better. My son’s high school career ended in 3-7 record and I was totally destroyed AND MY SON made state DL of the year! I wanted his coach fired…lol They waited until my son graduated.

Back to the important things now. I love Tomlin as a person. I think he’s awesome. That’s why he’s able to be mediocre in a very cutthroat competitive league. However, he makes some of the dumbest endgame decisions. He’s reckless with timeouts. But like someone pointed out earlier. Most coaches would get fired for punting down 19 with under six minutes to play and it’s 4th and 2

I just want to point out an example of how coaching can indeed make a big difference from today's game. Look at the TD drive in the second half for the Chiefs where it was constant short and quick passes, Mahommes wasn't even asked to do a whole lot at the position on that drive. Tomlin had no answers. On the other side of the ball is Wilson put in the same position? Hell no. He's running for his life or having to throw perfect passes down the sideline to guys not remotely open. This has been a thing for oh idk like 5 or 6 years now for the Steeler QBs.

I checked out Wilson's stats this season, going into today's game he has just 15 TDs, which is by far the lowest of his career. Not a coincidence.

                          1) I don't think we're mediocre. Imagine if at the beginning of the year someone told you we'd win 10 games, split with the Rats, and lose to Philly and KC. In what world is that not a pretty good season. It's just that the way the schedule was laid out, we didn't get our hardest games until the end of the year. We're still a better team than we've been since Ben got hurt. I've been saying since the off season that we'll likely be the underdog in the WC round. But this year, we have a chance because the idea was that with a QB who was at least average maybe we could score at least an average amount of points for an NFL team. That's basically exactly where we are. Good, but not great.

                          2) I'm not sure what you think is going to make us better by changing the coach. If changing the coach got us Mahomes (or another elite QB), I'd do it in a heart beat. But changing the coach doesn't make the team better. Although I suppose there's a higher likelihood that we end up having a couple really ****ty seasons so we get high picks. That might be the "best" way to try to get a QB. But the odds are that we still end up being ****ty. Because most QBs fail.

And FWIW, I don't think Tomlin belongs in the HoF (yet). Just like I don't think Cowher should have gotten in. I just don't think he's the root of every problem on the team. And I don't think the team magically gets better by getting rid of him. If it happened, I'd continue to be generally supportive of the team and want the new guy to be excellent.

We've seen what the dink-and-dunk game plan looks like with a non-elite QB. And it also isn't good. They are good at game planning. But "look the best QB of this generation plays well with their game plan" isn't exactly the best example of how game planning is more important than player talent.

And to be fair, that is who Wilson always has been.

Hold the ball for a long time. Takes a lot of sacks. But does make plays.

This was downright embarrassing. KC has struggled all year. Mahomes and Kelce have done next to nothing all year. Although I guess when you have the bold gameplan not to even worry about covering Kelce, it's not surprise they reemerge.

I know none of media will have the balls, but I'd kill to know why, on 4th and 10 at the 36, down by 19, we don't kick the FG. Then, on 4th and 2 with 5 minutes left, we punt. I'd also love to know why we try to establish the run game down by 19 with 4 minutes left.

I'm also done with TJs disappearing acts. If you can get a high 1st for him, trade him in a heartbeat. We haven't won dick with him so who cares.

Tomlin blows another challenge. Penalties and turnovers galore. Pickens throwing another fit (not that I blame him). This is a terribly coached team. But Tuesday night, we'll see Tomlin jivin' with the players on Hard Knocks, and everyone in the media will go 6 to 12 again.
