    Steelers beat Falcons and refs

That had to be one of the worst officiating games I have seen. 2 turnovers + 6 Boswell field goals was enough for us to win.

I'll take the road win, but our offense ...

It is a good thing we locked 'Muth and Heyward up long term.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

    No downside to a win

very few offenses are looking good week one

    glass is half full

Najee looked great. Glad he wasn't traded! Pickens is a beast but haven't seen that #2 WR we need

TJ is best defensive player in the NFL. Donte Jackson was solid

    Good start

Got to love a week 1 road win. And the officiating was not good but the Steelers were sloppy with penalties. Have to get that cleaned up. That’s realistically something that could cost them a game.

Did what they needed to do. Got the win. Defense in midseason form. Offense still in preseason.

Horrible officiating. That offsides call against Watt was simply wrong. The OPI against Pickens was ticky-tack at best. I still have no idea how they possibly marked the ball at the 28 on that long pass to Pickens. Nobody touched him and he went to the ground at the 26 before getting up and making it to the 18 or 19. Those dudes in stripes just sucked.

Boz gets the game ball, but Watt was right behind him. What a friggin' beast.

Why do wealways seem to have the majority of calls go against us? Especially the significant ones?

Part of it is that we're biased so it feels this way (we remember the bad calls - and I think there were a few today, but forget ones that go in our favor).

Part of it is just that Watt gets screwed. Not just Watt either. I think all elite pass rushers at the end of last season were getting screwed because the league didn't want any more QB injuries.

He stepped OOB on the sidelines.

Refs don't hate the Steelers, watch other games. Aiden Hutchinson is getting blatantly held all game, no calls. That's a league directive. You notice it if you have a dominant pass-rusher.

Officiating was very uneven. Hopefully a Game #1 thing

The call on Pickens was IMO the worst. Typical hand fighting you see on every play

Officiating seemed very shaky, TJ had TWO strip-sacks negated for flags.

Not sure if it was the right call or not but the one that really poured salt into the penalty wounds was our punter getting killed and our team being flagged for it. Jeez

I’ve always believed refs are unfairly influencing the outcome of games.

Other teams get screwed by calls too. No reason to doubt it but there does some to be calls that go against us when all the evidence suggest otherwise.

                              OPI
                              Watt offsides
Punter out for the season and WE were called for a hold.

All these plays would have more than likely added points or chewed up valuable clock time.
