    Polian: Colts won't discipline Foster

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts president Bill Polian says the team will not discipline defensive tackle Eric Foster, who faces a sexual assault lawsuit.
    AFC South blog

Kuharsky ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky writes about all things AFC South in his division blog.

A 22-year-old hotel receptionist is suing Foster, claiming that he sexually assaulted her in his room at an Indianapolis hotel before the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 24.

Polian said Wednesday that the team has no reason to discipline Foster because police investigated the incident and prosecutors later decided not to file charges.

He says Foster remains with the team and will participate in its offseason program.

The Associated Press is not naming the woman because it generally does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault.

That's because Polian is a reasonable man.

Goodell has now doubled his workload policing the NFL.

Foster should get at least one game right???

I think he needs to take these case by case. He needs to look at these as if it were a civil suit. Is there enough evidence to make him believe more likely than not that there was behavior done of a variety that would tarnish the league name. If in this case, it were merely a girl trying to cash in...no suspension should be given.

In Ben's case, there was enough there to make Goodell believe that more likely than not that Ben behaved at the very least in a manner that can hurt the brand name. I do not blame Goodell for Ben's suspension...just maybe the length. Polian must know the situation with his player and believes there was no wrong doing...hence the support and my comment for him being reasonable.

Simple fact it... the bigger star you are, the harder you will fall.

Half of football fans wouldn't know wo Foster is or that he was ever accused of anything. So he did not sully the NFL's "good name". So Goodell doesn't care. He only cares about bad publicity.

              Is it fair? Hell no!

Does that mean Ben still should be held accountable? Of course!

Does that mean Foster should be held accountable? Yes!

Do I support holding Ben accountable and still think Goodell is a hypocritical, infintial ego manica? You are damn right!

What's the argument? The Steelers didn't do anything to Ben after his first allegation.

I was thinking the same thing after my post.

Goodell would almost be more hypocritical if he DID discipline Foster.

I guess all the Goodell haters and Ben savors brainwashed me a little... but only for a moment!

Goodell suspended Ben for an ongoing pattern of behavior that has embarassed himself, his family, his teammates, his fans, the league, etc., not because of a sexual assault allegation. What is Eric Foster's pattern of misbehavior that is deserving of suspension?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
