Former Coach Bill Cowher Comments On Roethlisberger

There is one link I am sure there is more. I am shocked that he took the high road. I thought he and Ben butted heads? I figured when I seen this it would be like more like Terry B. Cowher had a chance to take a few shots but did not.

Maybe Cowher learned you need a good QB to win super bowls so if he comes back to the nfl maybe he can pull a Eagles/Redskins Mcnabb type trade for the most hated QB in the nfl right now in Big Ben?

Re: Former Coach Bill Cowher Comments On Roethlisberger

Cowher said, "The bottom line is you gotta be accountable. I think whatever the punishment is, Ben will handle it. He'll take it. The most important thing isn't so much the punishment, it's the lesson he's learned. Only time will tell. He's got an opportunity I think to restore the faith that a lot of people in the league, in the city of Pittsburgh and this team have in him, but it's going to take time," said Cowher.

There is more hang on I will see what I can find.

Former Steelers' head coach Bill Cowher has now weighed in, saying he believes that the NFL will levy an appropriate punishment.

"The bottom line is you have to be accountable, and I think that there has been a precedent set. I think that whatever the punishment is Ben will handle it, will take it," said Cowher. "But the most important thing isn't so much the punishment, it's the lesson that he's learned and only time is going to tell."

Cowher went on to say Roethlisberger is young and talented and should be able to eventually restore his reputation.

No, no, can't you see it guys?

Cowher hates the Steelers because of deep seated feelings of inadequacy from bringing home only one SB in 15 years. And we all know how much he hates Ben, because Ben promptly brought home two more rings in the 3 years after Cowher left.

Can't you see it? He's saying these things because he want the Steelers to fail - and he knows that the worst thing for the team would be to keep Ben.

It's so obvious when you think about it!!!

I'm curious, what would you consider as trade for Ben? How far from the two firsts this year and a second next year with the 49ers or Seahawks are you?

I would not trade Ben at all really, but if some team said 2 1st rd picks this year and a 1st next year with maybe a late rd pick added I would have to pull the trigger I think.

Just don't forget both of the teams you use might get a bunch better with Ben so next yrs pick would not be as good a pick.

I also would like to point out that I would do a Ditka type trade with any player on the team not just BAD BEN.

I would not trade Ben at any price at this time and neither will the Rooneys. He'll be given 1 last chance.

Can someone please explain what Ben is so ready to accept his punishment for?

And before you start saying Chadman is changing his arguments regarding Ben- the reason Chadman wants to know is this- he is remarkably accepting of his fate for an 'innocent' man.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?
