    Steelers are hosting several draft prospects

    The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting several draft prospects for visits today, the team announced.

    That includes Idaho offensive guard Mike Iupati, Arizona tight end Rob Gronkowski, Florida center Maukice Pouncey and East Carolina defensive lineman Linval Joseph.

    Iupati is a legitimate possibility for the Steelers' 18th overall pick.

    Pouncey is the consensus top-ranked center.

    Gronkowski missed last season with a back injury that required surgery, but performed well at his Pro Day workout.

    Joseph is a fast-rising draft propect, moving up on draft boards lately.

    According to the Steelers, they also met with South Carolina defensive lineman Clifton Geathers and South Florida wide receiver Carlton Mitchell.

      Thanks for the advice but I don't think the Steelers are going to ask my opinion

      Actually I don't like much that comes out of the South Florida football program. Real "sketchy" group under the old coach.

          Mitchell will be a good player. He won't be an all round WR but he'll be a great deep threat receiver with some nastiness to his blocking...

              He's a good kid too...he's got a good head on his shoulders & won't take anything for granted.
              It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust & sweat & blood...

                  Linval is a nice kid. He'll do well where ever he goes- Go Pirates!

                      In that case nothing to worry about Jom. Steelers don't like receivers who can block.
