    Embarrassment.
IF I was the coach, I WOULD TAKE HIM OFF pup, and grind him.
Act LIKE A PRIMA FAT DONNA.
"Oh, I'll be ready to go come the season"
Screw that , get ready now, like the f/n pro you oughta be.
i agree it is embarassing. the worst part of it is he looked run down the second half of last season and he is a year older.
    I know! I know
Everyone was saying how much we lost when A.S. went down, but look who still lost point of attack later on. Everyone on this board realizes our biggest strength has always been both our lines. This fat axe, ain't no Joel Steed, or anyone who compares to what this man used to be, Casy Hampton got fat. He also is complacent. When I heard on the interview with 86, "Yeah, we all look at what he's eating for dinner" Tells me the whole team is starting to be pizzed with this as well. All I can say is this guy better play his heart out because every opponent out there knows as much as you and I He cant practice! And a man like him needs practice and discipline somewhere.

Remember this, Coach Tomlin needs to grind C.H. ( FAT FUKCOUR.)

I wish we would have picked up Red Bryant.

I thought that too, until I saw he's injured and will miss camp, and preseason.
          Sound familiar?
Agree with you though Shawn, Red will be a player if he gets on the field.

I think this is Hampton's way of getting out of the rigors of camp.

If fatness keeps this up I wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded next year or waived. This is now Tomlin's team in case he didn't know. He won't get token Pro Bowls every year. Last year he was a disgrace toward the end of the year. If he was in decent shape for him maybe he could've prevented Garrard from getting a long run. I mean aren't Pro Bowl players supposed to make those plays? Apologies to be negative but this is starting to get under my skin.
ours is not to wonder why just invert and multiply...

Exactly on the mark. Yes Smith was out injured, but Casey did not have the ability to step it up to the next level to make the difference. I'm sure the coaches felt this was because he was not at the peak physical condition he should be. That is probably why Tomlin told him to be in shape and at weight in camp. Very unprofessional on Hampton's part.

I said it before. He doesn't have any other job except to keep himself in shape to the tune of $4M per year. Hire a freaking personal chef and personal trainer you can afford it

                  Re: Tomlin Warned Hampton

If he were coming off one of his best years I might be willing to give him a pass on his attitude and poor conditioning. That is not the case. I think he was average at best the second half of last year and even in 2006 he wasn't much better than average.

I feel the Big Snack better be careful because he is carrying around a pretty big cap number and not producing is a way for him to be cut from a perennial winner and picked up by a perennial loser. I would hate to see that happen because I have always liked him but his attitude seems to be lacking this year and I'm sure that will translate over to his play.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                  but Go Steelers!!!

Understood and I completely agree. However, with the lack of depth the D-line has I would be more worried about his long term health. Damn at his weight he could kack from a major coronary or stroke out there... I agree with Tomlin kick him in the pride sack. No matter what Hampton says he's gotta be embarrassed now that it's in the lime light. Kudos to Tomlin! More so, maybe after they get his weight under control they can get him hooked on phonics. Then maybe he won't sound like a fat jackass as well...
