The thing is that Tomlin loves football, coaching, and interacting with young men to try to make an impact on their lives. Reporting from the Senior Bowl where he's out coaching in the rain with a **** eating grin on his face (despite the fact that it was the Jets who were the official coaches)...while coaches from other teams didn't show up at all (Rams) or come late / don't come in the rain. Tomlin seems to truly love football and impacting the lives of young men (I wish there were more people that were like that these days).

So then all the news outlets made a huge deal about how the whole Steelers Brain Trust was at Willis' pro day. And Tomlin loves being on the football field, so he's all smiles all the time.

Then they never changed their narrative when he and the rest of the Brain Trust went to all the other QBs pro-days too.

Classic media members not wanting to change their minds after despite new evidence IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were going to draft another QB if Pickett was already gone. But who knows if it would have been Willis or someone else. I'm sure there are clips of Tomlin having what appears to be a great time at the prodays / senior bowl interactions of all the QBs.
