Planet Steeler Poker Tourneys

Aight guys...in about a month I should be moving into the gold status at AbsolutePoker.com. This means I will be able to start my own private tourneys there. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to take yalls money....umm I mean build community spirit with some fun filled poker tourneys.

If I can get a rotation of 6-10 guys we can have tourneys...weekly...monthly or whatever. If interested...sign up at Absolute Poker...put me in as the referral person...DocLogic77...and sign up here. This will give us both a bonus. The tourneys will be starting sometime in Aug or Sept...depending on when I reach Gold status.

Are you suggesting cash games where actual money changes hands (via PayPal or whatever), or does this site only offer games in which you accumulate virtual points and such? Just curious...

No it's a real money site...with entry fees and such. I am open to doing it via PP...at another site etc. It's fairly easy to get money onto the site BTW.

Well it would highly depend on what the general consensus is about money. It would also depend on how many guys we get. We would need a minimum of 6...but we could do multiple table tourneys. If there are only 6...the top two pay out. If there are 9 top 3 pay out. My thinking is 10 dollar tourneys should include everyone, but I would be willing to play for whatever higher or lower. We could always run a couple that weekend or whatever.

I think something that would be fun is to get a custom avatar or sig for that months winner. It might add a little more fun to the equation. We need to get AsianSteel in these I'm fairly sure he plays.

If you guys have additional ideas let me know. So, right now we have 2...might have 4 if AS and Ruthless decide to join.

As for getting an account going, I tried to set one up about 4 or 5 years ago but my WaMu debt card got rejected because my bank doesn't allow it to be used for online gambling purposes.

Do they take credit cards? Or do you have pay through pay pal? Or a money order?

I used a CC and it went right though. They have other services if you can't get your CCs to go through. I would download the program...sign up...and look at the cashier options. If you cant figure a way out...give them a call and they will lead you through the process.

Sounds good...when we get this going...we will ask for best times from everyone. For me...weekend mornings or weekend nights are best but any night is possible.

That gives us 3 guys.

Well guys I don't believe AP will work out. But, I think I have found a better solution. We have a poker room at my online cigar community. This way we can avoid paying a site to sponsor our tourneys. We could pay out through paypal or even via check. This might elicit more interest.
