    BATMAN: The Dark Night

Saw it this past weekend and absolutely awesome. Fast pace, great twists and the plot was thick. Heath Ledger.... what a loss. The guy will win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar this year with his performance. Made Jack Nicholson's version like a comic book. I want to know what you guy's think.....

BTW, I miss my brother's on this board. Hope I can come back more regularly, but life is really needing my attention right now. Peace.

I agree 100% about the Dark Knight AS. It was a phenomenal movie and I don't like about 95% of the movies that I watch nowadays.

It really does suck though that Heath Ledger is gone. This was one of the best acting performances I have ever seen and definitely the best acting performance in any Batman movie...

Dude, freakin $$$$$. I was amazed at how insane Ledger really acted. Just an absolutely fascinating performance.

The entire plot/storyline was perfect. The end was great. It set up the next story with tons of questions perfectly. They have really done a good job with this movie series. It was a very exciting movie and leaves you wanting more. So does the next one bust out Robin again? Or do they not go down that path a 2nd time?

Do they really want to risk another situation like this by bringing Robin back into the mix?

Ledger looked pretty wicked as the Joker, but they obviously can't bring him back in another gay cowboy role (although Jake Gyllenhaal may still be available)
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

              Re: BATMAN: The Dark Night

I'm waiting for it to come out at the cheap theater, but since it probably won't be
losing any box office steam any time soon, it's going to be a long wait.

I don't think I can wait that long, so I'm going to have to take out a loan and go to
              the regular movie theater.

AS and Les, you are missed. It's starting to get hard for me to hold this place together
with all these bozo's posting here. I don't think I can carry them anymore. I mean, you
should have seen what it was like when RuthlessBurgher was on vacation. I almost folded
              under the pressure.

Yeah, I guess I am kinda the glue that holds everything together here now, eh? One week off, and everything goes downhill...you can probably blame my absense as the reason why Hampton showed up to camp unacceptably fat. Of course, I am starting to wonder if the only reason that I get any respect on this new board is because of the cool-@$$ AS sig. No one knew who I was on the old board when I had a lame-@$$ sig.

..someone at work today said that Johnny Depp was in talks to play the Riddler in the next one. Dont know how true that is but i think he could pull it off.

Talk about a great casting call. I could definitely see that portrayal. Its not a reach for Depp to play dark chaotic characters. The Batman movies are definitely dark, but done really well.
