PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Former Steelers Cornerback and current Arizona Cardinals Secondary Coach Deshea Townsend joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss what his good friend, Hines Ward, and several of the other Steelers veterans are going through as their futures with the Steelers are in doubt.
Deshea played with a lot of the current Steelers who are getting up there in age and have to make some tough decisions, and told us what it was like when your career is winding down and you realize that your playing days are over.
When it came to discussing the future of Hines, Deshea said if the Steelers want him back, there is no doubt he’ll be back to play again.
We wrapped things up with Deshea getting his thoughts on what it was like coaching against Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown, and what his reaction was when Wallace beat them deep this year for a 95 yard touchdown.
