The Steelers are holding a rookie minicamp over the weekend. Baron Batch was expected to attend but will be unable to due to his knee injury. Batch was cleared to practice back in March but may have encountered a set back in his recovery. Batch is 9 months out from his surgery and still is not completely healed.
This could be bad news looking forward to Rashard Mendenhall being able to play this season. Not everyone recovers the same way but Batch has been working hard and still is not able to go. Mendenhall will most likely have to start the season on the PUP. He will not play until the middle of the season if he plays at all.
