Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown was on NFL Total Access tonight. He was asked about Mike Wallace and what he thought about Wallace coming back to the Steelers in 2012. Brown was straight to the point and had no question that Wallace would be with him in 2012.
“I definitely expect it… I definitely look forward to him providing me help from the other side, rolling coverages… No doubt in my mind, he’s coming back,”
Brown was directly affected by the coverage that Mike Wallace received. At the beginning of the season Wallace was averaging over 100 yards a game. As teams started to take Wallace away Brown took over. The more coverage Wallace saw the more productive Brown became. If Wallace is a Steeler in 2012 it should be the same way. No matter who teams see as the better receiver they will always have to double cover Wallace first because of his deep threat ability. Brown should thrive with the return of Wallace.
