The 2019 NFL draft came to an end last month in Nashville. It has continued to make headlines with everything that happened. However, as per the moment, all eyes are looking at the 2020 draft. It’s one of the more exciting things to look out for, and if you check this out, you will know why.

The Location.

Finally, the NFL will head to the state of Nevada to the city that never sleeps. It’s Las Vegas for all the NFL fans out there and the future home of the Raiders. Football is going to meet gambling, and honestly, it is a move that many did not see coming. When the Raiders moved to Las Vegas the issue about betting in the NFL was brought up. However ever since the Supreme Court lifted the ban on sports betting the NFL has gone ahead to embrace it. It went ahead to add Caesars as the official betting partner for the NFL.

There are also other teams in the NFL who are taking the opportunity to make partnerships with betting organizations. This includes the Dallas Cowboys who partnered with WinStar World Casino. This deal happened in September. In October the New York Jets signed an agreement with MGM and the Baltimore Ravens partnered with Horseshoe Casino which is in Baltimore. The move of one team to Vegas and the rest embracing sports betting organizations is a good sign the the the league wants to take a new course.

The site for the NFL draft has not yet been chosen, but there are rumors that the NFL officials have met with representatives from Caesars and MGM.

The Date.

The 2020 NFL draft will be held for the first time from April 23 and end on April 25, 2020. This will be only a few months before the Raiders officially open their new Stadium. Thus there will be a lot of NFL action in Las Vegas. 

How will the draft be like in Vegas?

It is without a doubt that Vegas is a major metropolitan city when it comes to hosting significant events. Therefore the NFL move is sure to attract a lot of crowds and nobody does big events better than Las Vegas. Moreover, gambling will be at an all-time high, and the strip will definitely be flooded with tens of thousands of fans. According to the latest statistics it is estimated that more than 250,000 people from Nashville, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Chicago will be there. This is bound to have a substantial economic impact in Sin City. It is estimated that more than $100 million will be collected during the draft.

There are significant casinos such as the South Point who are looking to reap significantly from the NFL draft. Its strategic location gives it a considerable advantage to attract a lot of football die-hard fans. The popularity of the NFL Draft is growing year by year, and it does not seem like it will stop anytime soon.
