Instead they drafted a guy that wasn’t even good enough to take the backup role over Tim Boyle. Never dressed for a game. Stupid pick.

And then Rodgers had to watch Tampa Bay & the Saints do cartwheels with the cap to get their QBs talent. Rodgers deserves to be pissed.

They also cut a WR - Kumeron, who Rodgers had publicly stated he loved having on the team.

The Packers would be better served firing their GM. He’s a buffoon.
I understand that an elite talent like Rodgers can elevate average WR’s to look good. But don’t you at some point have to throw him a bone?

They got rid of that Wr that he loved. Wouldn’t get him a first round Wr ever. And then traded up to take another QB that isn’t that good instead of getting him a weapon on offense.

It all added up to boiling him over. At some point, they should have did something at some point to appease him.
From the 2010-2020 season, (A 10 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the playoffs in the 70ís...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches

No one should be forced to retire of they no longer want to play for a team.
I think it's reached the point where the Packers pretty much have to trade him.

but they need to wait until after June 1 or they'll have to eat too much dead money.
Steel Maniac predicted no RBs would be chosen in the 1st round, so of course we selected:

    1(24) Najee Harris RB Alabama

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Packers QB Aaron Rodgers told Green Bay free agents that he would not be with the Packers in 2021.

Garafolo added that Rodgers was telling his team's free agents as early as the beginning of the 2020 season that he would be gone. He also noted that it's possible the players simply did not believe Rodgers would actually leave Green Bay, evidenced by David Bakhtiari signing a four-year extension with the team last fall. Rodgers has been disgruntled with the team for some time now but it appears like he has been planning his departure for well over a year. With this level of commitment, it's possible that he does hang up the cleats before returning to the Packers. From a fantasy perspective, all Green Bay players come with an extreme downside. If Rodgers does find a new home, the change to Jordan Love will be catastrophic for the offense.

Doesn't seem like Rodgers is coming back.

Favre doesn't think Aaron is coming back either.

Packers just need to get a King's ransom in draft picks and a couple of players and move on. This will not go well during the season if you have a unmotivated Rodgers and the other players are distracted by what will happen next. The Packers need to create a degree of certainty for the other players and just move on.

They could probably get three 1st Rounds picks plus and a player or two.
Taking pride in the fact that I'm right so often and he is wrong so often, that Steel Maniac has to have me on "Ignore"

I doubt he'd retire voluntarily with almost $75M left on his contract over the next three years. He's also said many times that he wants to play into his 40s.

Like several marquis QBs this off season, this seems to be a power play about either money or just a desire to control where he plays out his career.
