Yes, I agree. I posted for him last year but he returned to 'Bama.

Older players coming out of college can present a bit of a problem with skewed stats. In some cases they are going up against a lot younger and less experienced players.

    Case in point: Jarvis Jones.

There are other RB’s we can focus on in this draft. Let someone else take those miles on Harris.
From the 2010-2020 season, (A 10 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

Dolphin fans in the 90ís who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the playoffs in the 70ís...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2020 ) holding on to Tomlin for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches

Steel Maniac predicted no RBs would be chosen in the 1st round, so of course we selected:

    1(24) Najee Harris RB Alabama

I like Najee Harris, but I would never take a RB in the 1st round. You just don’t need to anymore.

On a related note, you can probably pick up B. Robinson, Najee’s backup, in the late rounds. Real sleeper in my book.

No need to take a RB in the first round am you more.

No denying his “ fit”. But we have to address a more pressing need in that first round. The O-line.

Why do people keep saying this? Thats been our problem. We've been waiting until after the 2nd round. You get a great back if he is available that late in the 1st and mid 2nd round. Good Olineman can be gotten in the 3rd and 4th rounds. If one of those RBs are there this year the Steelers better jump on them. Look around the league RBs are no longer devalued.

They say it because SM doesn’t want to admit that RB’s are no longer being devalued like he claimed.

Sure, you can get lucky and get a Kamara or even an unknown RB and flourish but that’s rare. If you want to increase your chances at a great RB you need to draft them high just like any other position.
Tomlinís coming back so what can you do?

What round was Aaron Jones drafted? What round was Kareem hunt drafted? What round was Alvin Kamara drafted? What round was dobbins drafted? What round was Johnathan Taylor drafted? Very few running backs are taken in the first round anymore.
