Didn?t see this coming, thought they?d keep him for depth. JPJ, Frazier, or Van Pran probably gets drafted high by the Steelers.

I prefer JPJ unless there is a FA they are targeting.

Terrible at snaps and always pushed back in the pocket.

He ruined a lot of series with those bad snaps on critical downs too.

Not surprising. Still have Herbig on the roster as well as Spencer Anderson who plays all 5 line positions. I figured one of him or Herbig is gone because they are both backup caliber players at all 3 IOL positions. C is a priority, just need to see what round.

If JPJ is there at 20 I grab him. Other than that Frazier or Van Pran in round 2.

            me too

hope they don't go for some kind of low-grade, band-aid solution, but get serious about picking up a bona-fide stud for the position

Awesome, replace him and Moore and the line can be legit next year.

They just re-signed Cook and still have Anderson as well. Moore may find himself as a backup. They could also draft a RT.

                  I'm surprised at this.

Figured that he wouldn't start, but that he'd be the backup interior guy because he has experience playing C and G.

C is a huge need now.

Wonder if the plan is to sign a bigger name C in UFA now. I don't imagine we'll go into the draft with no starting C.

With Weidl and Khan I have a feeling we will aggressively address the C position.

There are 3 centers that are getting attention that many believe will be good pro players. I wouldn't take any of the free agent centers and draft whoever is there in the second round. Some mocks have JPJ lasting until the Steelers second round pick. If not Van Pran or Frazier should be available. I don't see 3 centers going in the first 54 picks.

They will make a FA signing at Center. They aren't likely to go into the draft without a starter capable Center on the roster.

I expect we see a big Free Agent signing for our next Center

Pran can probably be had in the third. If so that?s the route I would go. I see the Steelers drafting DB, OL, or DL in the first two picks.

Moore?s gonna stay at LT. Why move all these guys around? Makes no sense.

Only guy they replace is at Center. Leave the OL as -is. Jones will become a great RT.

Ah, cap space. We have more dead weight to cut. As you indicated, this is a good Center draft. Do not trust those web mocks drafts, JPJ isn't lasting until our second round pick.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
