I like a lot. I've been mocking Tykee Smith, myself and Trotter is a HUGE get in this.

I've been avoiding Mitchell because Tomlin and crew always go from the power conferences. But, I think he's got the game to be a good baller.

I'd call this a dead heat with Pappy for 2nd.

LMAO...So, I tried one... I tend to default to OL with the first pick every time i look at prospects. For entertainment purposes, I decided to see what would happen if I went CB in the first. Here's some commentary around my thinking with each pick

                        20. Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
-- man taking a CB in the first feels icky, but there's frazier in the second
-- WAIT A DAMN MINUTE... JPJ and frazier went back to back at 37, 38... i'm toast.

                        51. Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota
-- so i keep seeing people get SVP in the 3rd, so I'll gamble and grab a stud at safety - some say he has a 1st round grade
--SVP went 78th, I'm toast AGAIN

                        84. Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB, Clemson
                        -- i don't dislike this pick, but don't have a single o-lineman

                        119. Maason Smith, DE, LSU
                        120. Michael Pratt, QB, Tulane
-- i like those 2 picks a lot in that place in the draft

                        196. Gabe hall, DE, Baylor
-- honestly forgot I had Smith; still reeling from missing out on ALL the good o-linemen

                        237. Tory Taylor, P, Iowa
-- best punter in the draft... i get the impression that he goes much earlier on day 3 of the draft

All in all, i really like the picks given what was on the board. But, I'd definitely be disappointed with the lack of help on the OL.

This is the scenario that makes me think that JPJ is a realistic possibility in the 1st - because if you don't, you might miss out on Frazier in the 2nd as well. All those folks who wanted Creed Humphrey, this may be a chance at a do-over.

I really liked the way this one fell without trades.

                          20. Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa (Provided the Steelers don't make a move for a veteran corner, gives them two young corners if DeJean works out)
                          51. Jackson Powers-Johnson, OC, Oregon (Hopefully, plug and play for 10 years)
                          84. Jeremiah Trotter, LB, Clemson (Strong tackler, good judgment in coverage, and good pass rusher, may not start but will get rotational snaps and may push for more time as season goes on)
                          119. Delmar Glaze, OT, Maryland (Big and fast, will take some work but can play left or right tackle, good backup while learning)
                          120. Layden Robinson, OG, Texas A&M (Has a nasty streak in him, athletic enough to pull and be a lead blocker, but needs much work, guard is not a pressing need but it will be good to start prepping for the future)
                          196. Joe Milton III, QB, Tennessee (He was there at 196, big arm, quick release, can throw on the run, accuracy and reads need to be refined, and will be 24 when drafted, worth a flyer if he's there this late, sounds like a young Josh Allen)
                          237. Tory Taylor, P, Iowa (Hopefully, another 10 year plug and play piece but drafted in the 7th round)

I am really starting to lock into JPJ in the first round, much like I did with B. Jones last draft. A lot of time left but it just makes too much sense not to draft him, if he's available.

OT in FA, or are you OK with Dan Moore on the left again?
