I think Mitch and Chucks were pretty clear cases of cost savings.

I am glad that they cut Harvin as well. I was worried that they'd bring him to camp to compete again. And that he'd look great in camp again. And then be very inconsistent in games again.

With Chuks you can look at the money. The offset on Harvin right now is $140K, and QB saving $3M is nothing. Neither one of those moves is a salary cap win. But both moves do make the team better - addition by subtraction.
