But according to some he needs to STFU

A lot of Steelers fans have morphed into Eagles fans where they can simultaneously love and hate the team and the players at any given moment.

Both things can be true. He's a great guy off the field and gets a little too chatty about the team on his podcast.

Maybe a certain poster is just upset that Cam was critical of PFF?
If veteran Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward needed any motivational fuel for his preparation for the upcoming 2023 NFL season...

Not sure you realize the irony of this sentence.

I mean, he played like a $3 DL this season.

This is the problem with big 3rd (and later) contracts.

I didn't like his 3rd contract when he signed it. But I think he delivered will on it. Always hard at the end though. You never get value.

I can’t see how we pay him 21mill or whatever that number is for next year. He definitely isn’t worth it but I know our FO seems to honor that last year for players like Cam.

That is a sad statement of how pathetic some fans have become

Good for Cam. Probably got the recognition because he now has a podcasts and shows up on morning shows so he is more known.

Not that there was any real chance but after getting this award there's zero chance he is cut or asked to retire. They'll need to rework his deal with some void years.

I think this was the plan no matter what.

Just so they don't actually wait until he retires to start thinking about his replacement, like they do with OL.

Steelers have selected a DL in each of the last 6 drafts, the last two in Round 3 so an effort has been made.
