    Tomlin Leaving Post Game Podium

When asked about 1 year remaining on his contract , Tomlin quickly left the podium.

    What does that tell us?

    He doesn?t want to discuss?

    Hes done?

    Something else?

I wonder if he would fire himself at this point? Maybe he knows he?s on thin ice. but he also probably wants to go out on top at some point.

I sense Tomlin still loves football. Does he still love the Steelers job???

Yeah I watched it too. I wasn’t sure that is was not a technical error as the feed stopped after that question.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Not a question he wants to answer at this time. Remember, he said he was going to step back and make a decision with his family.

He make comments in the past about loving coaching and this team.
I don't know if this reporter is the same one who asked about the roster sheet last week.
This is not the right time to discuss that topic after a tough loss. He kept control of the interview by walking away rather than saying something that could be an emotional answer and one not well thought out.

I call bs. Him not anticipating that question and having an answer ready to go - well, it’s just like opposing teams using their TE’s and the Steelers not being prepared to stop them. Lazy, unprofessional and undisciplined.

          From the HC.

Not sure about anyone else but that was funny to me. His face when he recognized the voice and who it was coming from... lmao.

bet money its the depth chart reporter from a few days ago.

I do think he was ready. I don’t for one minute think the question caught him off guard. He knew what he was going to do when it came up.

Most coaches would probably just answer that with a non-answer but Tomlin storms off...interesting....very interesting indeed.

He runs his mouth about possibly leaving and then gets pissy when asked about it?
He wanted the attention or else he would have kept it professional and in house.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I would be cautious about reading too much into this ... he was likely in a very emotional state following the loss

the reporter was Brooke Pryor ... don't know that there'd been any bad blood between them up to this point
she's not the reporter who asked about the depth chart thing

I expect we'll be hearing about him getting a contract extension before too long

I thought it was funny also.

Tomlin obviously doesn't like that reporter.

I thought it was unprofessional and immature. At least interrupt her and say you're not taking about that right now. He has done that a million times.

I am hoping he is gone.

if he did that I’m sure you would still think it rude and immature because he interrupted the reporter.

its funny to me how coaches are held to this high standard for press conferences now. This is typical podium behavior and rather tame IMO.

Would be the first coach in history to give up 5 straight 31+ point games in playoff loses and get extended.

I guess the positive is the Bills only scored 31 while others scored more. Guess we are trending positive.
