Yesterday is why I've been trying to stay out of game threads

I get too worked up during games and can't keep my keyboard's mouth shut. Apologies to dizz, NB, NC, CL, et. al for my outbursts and attacks.

I have noticed that and you have lit me up a time or 2 on game threads. I stayed out a few weeks but was back in yesterday.

Dude - Nothing you say on your couch is going to change the direction of the game.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

game threads are people just blurting out there emotions in real time.

I love how we put careers on the line on each failed play.

We all get worked up. Especially when the team plays as badly as it did yesterday.

          No worries over here.

I mostly assume that **** talking is the same thing I'd do with buddies on my couch. The words sound mean, but it's just how we talk.

Everyone is irrational in the game thread. It’s a zen like experience once you can laugh at your own irrational emotions.

It’s kinda amazing how we react and care about something that is so meaningless. Makes you wonder what void we must be trying to fill?

It’s all a microcosm of life. We are all irrational at all times while each of us tries to create our own meanings to sooth our sanities. Everything is nothing. Nothing is everything. The best we can do is get excited about the things that entertain our existence.

If our meanings make us smile and bring us contentment, then they are probably worthwhile.

              .
I think it’s often a case of we love the Steelers unconditionally but when they play like hot garbage they’re not reciprocating that love back to us. Or something like that.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

It did get rather testy yesterday but I don't lose sleep over message boards.
In the end we all want the same thing. A Steelers SB.

If a team wins too much, it becomes boring and we lose interest and don’t fully appreciate the joy in winning.

So we should be thankful for the hot garbage which is gonna enable us to full appreciate the joy of winning in the future.

Nice post Windy. We all do it in the heat of the moment. It's a wonder I haven't broken a phone yet during these games!

I still feel passion for the Steelers. Not so much as in years past. As you age you become calmer. You don't get worked up. Passion is an emotion that you experienced more in your youth. Rooting for the Steelers keeps that attachment to your youth going.

Am I making sense. At least it does for me. So express yourself as you must. It is a good thing to recognize that you say things when you are passionate that you will regret. Move on and remember we are at our core Homies who share the same passion.

I was so offended by your comments......just kidding. The players and the coaching staff deserve every ounce of scorn directed at them.

The organization has turned into a joke, imo. I can't take much more of this garbage football. I'm about ready to tune this **** out forever.

If I'm ready as a life long fan of the team to abandon them, there has got to be many others. The Steelers brand will be tarnished beyond repair really soon.

The owners need to fix this problem and it starts with Tomlin.

This Thursday we get to watch 2 well respected coaches put together 2 struggling offenses and defenses in prime time.

How the mighty have fallen. What makes it so bad is we have a chance to win our 8th game and stay in the playoff hunt but it feels like we are the Pats level of bad.

When I saw the score of the Chargers - Pats game was 6-0 I cringed at how two really great franchises of the 2010's have come to this...

Steeler vs Pats can the score actually be 2-0?

                            Yes I kid, but barely.

I think this team gets emotions running high because in the pre-season the offense and defense looked like they were in mid-season form from the start and then they weren't even close to being ready when the season started. Its been a let down for sure. Pickett appeared to be ready to make the jump, the running game looked solid, the defense was making plays and then they started to play for real. Ugh... The good news (hopefully, good news) is that there is a game Thursday to hopefully cleanse the pallet from the bad taste of this game. And, the Steelers didn't lose their place in the playoff hunt so there's that, they need to regroup and get behind Mitch until Pickett is ready to go (if he can make it back this year).

It wasn't that bad for me because I didn't get a chance to watch the game, so my only reference to the game is what I read here and in the news. Its not the same as watching a a bad football game live.
