Keep in mind this was a kickoff. It’s alive ball. You can’t leave it roll dead. All he had to do is leave it go.

OK, just watched the replay -- the ball was going to land OOB. You guys are right, he just needed to step back and let it land.

The announcers were chuckling at the toe tap. It was ridiculous, like he didn't know basic kickoff rules.

Every special teamer in the NFL has seen this video.

Gunnner is a fair 5th or 6th man as a receiver. But a special teams player? He's special, all right.

A coach who wants his team to focus cuts such a man. All the great ones would. Tomlin must be loved and adored by players that keep screwing up. And diva's. I have no confidence in Gunner. Neither do some of his teammates. But the real cut will happen in the 2025 season.

" We'll see " Says Art Rooney II on Tomlin's contact

              Yes we will Art.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

it was the most ridiculous brain fart since we lost a fumble in the endzone on a kickoff back in the day before the rule change.

The fact that he jumped out of bounds after the catch made it even worse.

Yeah if the ball looks like it's gonna drop in bounds but you can reach & get a foot out of bounds & then catch ball it's out & you get it at the 40 yard line......HE DID THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. He took a ball that was goinbg out of bounds & barely klept his feet in to make it a fair ball....STOOOOPID OR DYSLEXIC ?

So Gunner played CB at Bemidji State University and now we’re supposed to be shocked that he’s a total bum?
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Even worse, it looks like a guy who does know the rules and is somehow trying to sabotage his team. Quite the skillful toe tap that would make Antonio Brown proud.

He was also a pro-bowl STer on the team that is known for smart and disciplined coaching. Instead he looked like a UDFA rookie from Bemidji State.

If he was afraid it would bounce and stay in, he could simply have STEPPED OOB and caught it - I'm pretty sure the rule is that the kick is OOB if you have to field it OOB

Remember that Shamarko guy we had on special teams few years ago? Olszewski reminds me of that level of stupid. How long have you been playing this game? You aren't really asked to do very much except practice a few things and then remember them on Sunday. Jesus Christ.
