He managed today's game poorly. Hopefully, he'll manage them better starting next week. Starting 0-2 is a recipe for missing the playoffs. The Browns dominated the Bengals; Burrow didn't show up.

But the coverage of the players outside of Fitz is the issue.

2 ) Is Dan Moore better this year, but how will he hold up in regular games? The coaches have confidence in him over Jones. If Mooore struggles, I'd rather play the more powerful and fleet footed Jones and let the rookie learn.

3 ) Will the coaches call Washington number and play the 2 -te set more often? IMO, they should. The man is a beast of a run blocker and Red Zone threat who is tough to cover with a linebacker or safety. This is a tough matchup for defenses, and one where we can call play action from.

4 ) How will the carries between Harris and Warren be split up? IMO Warren is the better and Harris is no longer a team captain. A bit of foreshadowing? We shall see. Tomilin isn't talking expect to shut talk down by reporters by saying don't read into this.

5 ) Will Tomlin and Canada protect Pickett by calling a conversative game manger style making " safe " passes and let our defense and playmakers win games? They can. But will they let Pickett be a QB and attempt more downfield passes like the AFC playoff teams do?

Harris with a huge 5.0 Average. Warren with a 2.0 Average. and despite what you said all off season long. It does not matter.

All in all, I've been on the fence about Tomlin and his staff, BUT it may be soon time for a change if our season ends up like last year. A change to a more offensive minded HC, like Shanihan is. Canada never should have been retained, but that was Rooneys decision too.
We were not in the 49ers class. They were superior in players and coaching.

We wish he was just a game manager. What he is right now is just a mediocre QB.

3 ) Washington was not in the game plan.

4 ) Harris had one nice play, but otherwise did not do much. He carried it 6 times, Warren 3.

5 ) Mostly safe passes even when the game was out of hand. I told you'll Pickett was a game manager type of QB. He threw serval bad passes and had two inttercpetion. It should have been three..

    Tomlin must make some changes.
I'll wait for the game stats to get released but I thought Washington was on the field quite a bit, mainly as a blocker.

Our secondary wasn't great but they played a very good offense who started most possesions of the first half around midfield because of how bad Pickett played. You put the secondary in that position most of the game that result is bound to happen.
