Nothing badder than a Lloyd jersey with block #s. Nothing.

Well Whimper, I can honestly say this is the first post I have seen from you that I 100% agree with. 95 was a monster. My All-time favorite Steeler, although we have soooo many to choose from, Lloyd is #1. to me.

Would have loved to see him and Troy on the same defense in their respective prime.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

Love me some Lloyd. Was also my 90s favorite.

          Interesting comment on block numbers.
I think I just figured out why you hate current Steelers so much.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

          TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Going one step further, I like to imagine Lloyd playing with #92 (Harrison) on the other side of the field. It would have been sickness. Teams might have come in and just given up.

sure glad you didn't say Antonio Brown

but then, I suppose his title would be "biggest dumb@$$ in Steelers' history"

                  You STOP IT whisper!
I am not used to you making me smile.

How bout some Jack Lambert in the middle of those two?

Oh the pain to be inflicted. I would suggest players might fake injuries for Steeler week.

THAT my friends is Steeler fan FANTASY FOOTBALL.

We should come up with an all bad ass defense.

mean joe and Ernie at DT

                    Everett and shell at safety

                    mel and woody at corner.

easier then I though although I?m probably forgetting someone

I was thinking the same thing. Include offense gotta get Hines in there.

One of my favorite Steelers was Mike Merriweather. He was a really fast OLB that could rush n cover downfield. On draft day 1989 we traded him to the Vikings for a 1st round draft pick. I was at that draft held at the time at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan. I could not figure it out at the time. Why get rid of this really good player?
Lloyd was not healthy early on in his career so we as fans didn't know just what we had. The coaches knew and Lloyd became a star.

Close but not athletic enough of an animal.

Told the story before but I talked with Russ Francis once (70s-80s era tight end with the Pats and Niners). He was really good but kinda soft as tight ends go. He used to tear us up and I asked why. He said because the 70s teams focused on backs and receivers so a fast tight end could give them problems.

                              HIS LAMBERT STORY.

He said Jack Lambert literally BIT his leg under the pile on a tackle.

He said they got to be friends at the ProBowl because he took Jack around the island (Russ is from Hawaii and went to High School with my wife).

Bottom line Russ said Jack did crazy stuff in games people don’t even know to get into your head.
