Cam crying for Bryant to be reinstated from weed.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward is arguing for the reinstatement of a suspended former Steelers teammate.

I don't know: mixed feelings on his one. When it comes to Bryant and Gordon, if all they ever did was smoke weed (and couldn't stop with literally millions of $s hanging in the balance) then they seem like real idiots. Unlike alcohol and crack, weed is not physically addictive, just stop smoking it, moron. True, laws and rules have changed, as they should have (weed does not improve sports performance), but the fact they couldn't get their shlt together before is inexcusable.

Maybe Cam should be more worried about other things. Maybe this is some "Pouncey brothers free Hernandez" coming out.

at this point, Martavis's best days are behind him. Not really sure I see the point - even if reinstated, he probably wouldn't make a team 10 years in...

The sad part is that IMO, he was *already* one of the 10 best WR in the league by year 2...

I agree that he's probably too old to be a big contributor somewhere.

But since what he was suspended for is now OK to do in the NFL, I think it's not unreasonable to unban him. Doesn't mean he'll make a team.

I really don't care if they unban him, no sweat of my sack. Weird thing for Cam to care about though. Ben made MB over-rated in my opinion, just to start with.

always thought it was weird how harsh they punished for weed over other infractions.

Not factually, it isn't. There are no physical withdrawal symptoms.

Regardless, some people do have a dependency (I know a couple of them) -- psychological rather than physical?

its promoters pushed it as being this benign, harmless drug, but the more this social experiment with legal weed goes on, the more bad effects/outcomes we are finding

As for Cam, maybe he's just looking to get his favorite supplier back?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

BTW, I'm not against weed and will partake occasionally, but I also know people who smoke all day every day.

I actually agree it can be an addiction. Anything that you can’t let go of no matter the negative consequence I’d call an addiction.

It's not physically addictive, not an addiction.

                            It ABSOLUTELY can be addictive.

Yep. But I think at least part of that was just the culture in the US. Seems like it might be changing at least in some places.

Not something I'm interested in, but I think prohibition tends to be counter productive. And I don't know if weed rises to the level where prohibiting it (after a particular age like alcohol) is a huge public good.

But again, it's not really something I know much about.
