    I prefer Kazee personally.

And I’ve been big on Branch for a while and think adding him in the mix could really make this 3 S lineup work.

Plus Branch and Minkah can cover in the slot interchangeably.

Will miss his positivity on D. I hate losing guys with great character who really don’t cost that much.

I would suggest Minkah missed more tackles because he was trying to clean up other people’s mess.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

What’s the scoop on the other nana safety.
        jordan battle.

With the capital and high contract already spent at the safety position.
maybe a lower round pick is the way we go

          Edmunds signed for $2M.
          Only 600k his renters.

at this rate, he’ll be out of the league next year.
and people here will still think he’s a good player

A bit surprising. Maybe the Steelers don't value 'availability' as much as 'ability'?

If your right NC, then that is clear indicator in what we'll be looking for this draft. More ability/talent.

Did Philly sign Edmunds as a sign of "get off our back?"

Just look at how the coaches & front office treated him to see how little they valued him. Refused his 5th option and brought back on a low 1 year deal. Now he signs for even less money than he got last year. The Steelers clearly didn’t even try to sign him.

I think some Steeler fans greatly overvalue him. He is EASILY replaceable.

                        Wow.

I would have assumed we'd have offered at least the same contract we did last season (1 year $2.4M).

This is a pay cut for him.

Maybe Edmunds just wanted to leave?

Maybe the structure here is a little better? But I don't know how much difference you'd see on a 1 year deal.

A good deal for the Eagles IMO.

Sure...but for $2M, why not try the replacement AND retain him for a year.

It's not that he's a great player. But he's probably around an average starter, and that's pretty cheap. Although it does seem like S is the equivalent of RB in terms of devaluation of the position.

its been a week or so since free agency started, i bet they did try and offer him approx the same amount and he chose to move on.

                              knock on wood

fans say this and then next thing you know there is an injury.

Just funny how he cries about anyone else criticizing the Steelers.
Just wait, as soon as we have his replacement, he’ll say it was a great
                                Move and an upgrade.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
