Purdy started off rusty and could have had 2 picks that Kittle and Deebo had to break up, but he got hot after and honestly dropped some major dimes in the second half with pass rushers in his face.

I doubt anyone is comparing Pickett with Purdy anymore.

They've got a couple of posters around here who actually say Pickett is better. You'll see their various post stating as such.

Uh...you want to go back and fix this my friend. LOl. draft pedigree suuuuure didn't win out. They shipped Lance out because draft pedigree did not matter. Nor should it! (especially at that position) If teams always operated like that, Brady wouldn't have taken Bledsoe's job. And if Warren pans out to be a better runningback then Najee, Warren should get Najee's job as well.

We know who they are. Well some of us do. My last year's drafted QB's thread might have a gap rating between the 4 men instead of just saying 1,2,3,4 to better reflect their standings.

It includes Purdy ,Howell, Riddler, and Pickett They are ranked weekly. So far Pickett has been in 4th place twice.

Of course we could have had any one of them in the 2022 NFL draft.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Officials said they "couldn't confirm" that Niners offensive tackle Trent Williams threw a closed-fist punch at the Giants' A'Shawn Robinson and thus did not eject him from Thursday night's game.

yes, I'm hating but I also loathe when good teams get obvious help from the refs.
One could argue Watson received special treatment as well. He should have been ejected immediately when he shoved the official. It was stated that the NFL is hesitant to eject a marquee player during prime time games.

Kenny Pickett never had such an NFL game. Not even close. Are we still comparing them?
I don't know if he's top 10. But he's certainly not in competition for worst QB so far this season. Sadly, our guy is in that conversation.

Watson put his hands on lots of people. This scumbag is massively overpaid and overrated QB. Do you have video?

Keep a close eye on Howell, who I see improving weekly. That kid has an accurate arm and can throw with anticipation very well, and his pocket movement has been impressive.

Well he is 8-0 starting NFL games and was top 3in QBR last year and this year. Call him that you wish. I say he is top 10 among starting NFL QB's

It has; I've been watching him and he was impressive last week bringing the Commanders back. To show that type of leadership early in his career is a feather in his cap. That really bonds a team for the long haul.

yep.. he was rusty as hell early on. Served up a couple lollipops and the pressure was getting to him. He rebounded in the second half. That corner pass was lovely. Looked just like a pass the week early from someone who shall remain nameless.

I am working from my phone this week so not sure how to link it. It is on SD if you want to look. He should have been ejected, IMHO.

If that's about Pickett's pass to a wide open WR in the middle in stride while taking a shot, yes it was nice and would like more of that. The passes last night in tight coverage were next level though. The first TD, the one CMC that almost was another, and the one to Deebo. He also dropped others to Kittle and Jennings while they were blanketed that were on point.

The kid is good, and the film shows it every week. He's not perfect for sure, but his accuracy in tight windows and with anticipation is scary good at times.

Would he be a top 10 QB playing for the Steelers?
