    Impatiently waiting patiently

I’m not even mad anymore, I’ve just accepted that Tomlin and company are fine with mediocre football this year and have no desire to see KP right now.

If Mitch played a full game like he did in the first half maybe we win that game..

but if the FO is fine watching this dude go 1 for 7 on 3rd down then so be it.

and some people think Tomlin cares about 15 non losing seasons, clearly
looks like he is fine with ending that streak this year.

    Are we tanking?

I have zero expectations for this season, so these losses really don't bother me like they normally would. I just fear we're going to burn a year of potential development for Kenny.

I'm in this boat. I knew it was a lost season. So I'm not as emotionally attached as in other years.

I can't imagine that he won't be put in at some point. And if we only score 13 - 17 every week, we've probably got a good chance at getting a premium pick.

That is the problem, in 2 ways.

          1. He didn't
          2. They expect it

I don't think we are tanking. On KP, I could be wrong on this, please let me know your thoguhts.

Did Tomlin really want Willis and he is taking a stand against KP? It sounds absurd (I agree) but I can't think of anything else. Why let Kenny sit? It is not like he is behind an Aaron Rogers.

Heres what to expect... KP's ceiling being roughly the same as MTs under Matt Canada... now and in the future..

Your argument only makes sense if you ASSUME Pickett steps in and plays like a star. That is a reach

I want him to be a star but expecting a rookie to save your season is an unlikely outcome

I could see Tomlin being encouraged by what he saw from Mitch in the first half and now sticking with him longer than we should.

I'm also not emotionally attached this season. I'm planning to go to the Saints game and I'm really hoping Kenny is playing by then. I really think we're going to be no better than 2-6 by that time. And we'll probably have suffered at least 2 very humiliating losses by then.

That last line is what I implied before. Not "trying" to lose, but not trying to reduce losses with a QB change knowing we cant contend for a SB.
Saving Kenny for when we have more pieces in place. Losing more gets us better picks.

What if Burrow never got hurt and Cincy was not garbage his rookie season?

                    No Chase.

How differently things play out last season?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

We won't know if he doesn't play. if he sits this year then next year is his de facto rookie season. Why wait?

I think they don't want people thinking KP is the savior.

I think we'll play Mitch until the playoffs are basically out of reach.

That might not be all that far in the future scoring between 13 - 17 pts.

Relax. KP8's already "Made" in mob parlance. Career NFL clipboard holders make ooh gobs more dough than what 99 percent of us Proles can dream of ever making
