I wasn't even a Ben fan. In 2016, 5 years after the Stillers last SB appearance I asked on another board: "What has Ben done lately for the Steelers?" My point in 2016 was trading Ben would have brought multiple 1st Rounders, players and avoided a rebuild. Never happened. The idea was an LA Dodger GM who said "It's better to trade a year too early than a year too late." But that's me.
Same for Mason, Mitch or Kenny and spare me any crocodile tears. If "sentiment" was first in 2022, would the Steelers have swooned all over Malik and then let Tennessee have him in Rnd 3? C'mon, "you make-a da joke" as every terrible Italian immigrant accent impression goes. Finally, if I'm 100% clueless about the future five seconds after the moment when I finally press "SEND" on this email, I'm also clueless as to which QB becomes QB1 or a Bridge QB or a Franchise QB.
I don't own one share of Rooney Preferred. I'd like a SB 7 title before metaphorically shuffling off to Buffalo but I won't sweat not getting that wish. Cheers an' 'at
