The big salary cap hits of Mahommes contract are gonna kick in and the league gets to snipe their best free agents.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

It will get harder for them.
But I also think the length of his contract helps them a bit here. They have a lot of road to kick the cap hit down (although only 5 years at a time, and the future hits will add up).
I hope he doesn't pass Ben in SB wins and appearances. It will be harder for him moving forward.Comment

Having a franchise QB on a rookie deal is an advantage. That’s not debatable.
But it’s also possible to win with a seasoned vet.
If the Steelers go with MR - they will not (thus far) have a Franchise QB who is also not on a rookie deal. It’s the worst of both worlds.2014 MNF EXEC CHAMPION!!!Comment

agreed all around.
and they might not win the SB, but I bet their in the final 4 / final 2 discussion in the near future. they know where their bread is buttered
I doubt they have that 70's mentality where they'll draft 9 of 12defensive guys in the top 60 in a 6 year spanLast edited by NJ-STEELER; 01-30-2022, 08:28 PM.Comment

but but but....
the Bengals selected a WR over an OL in the first round of the draft last year.
I thought I read on here that you can't win that way.Comment
