I don't think the Chiefs run ended. It will become more difficult to add quality starters in free agency, possibly impact team depth, and keep certain players.

At the end of the day I'd rather have a QB like Mahommes that not.

I don’t their run has ended either but their mystique has.

Perhaps a blueprint as well to defense PM has been drawn.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Yup. Just go look at who the SB winning QB was the last 20-30 years. Mostly it’s a young QB on pre. If money contract. Only a handful of losers guys have won at the end of their careers - Brady, Manning, Elway.

You just can’t afford a good enough team around your QB when they hit big money.

Seriously, the data points to the fact that you should always be dumping guys before they become too expensive. Especially QBs cause of the contract sizes.

And the rules support throwing the ball making it easier for young QBs with a good arm and pocket mobility to be successful. Just gotta build the rest of the team and hope u hit on a great young QB.

But just look at how many of these guys are out there that are pretty good.

No QB since 2000 has won taking up >13% of the cap. Only ones to win at over 10% are Brady and both Mannings.

and they might not win the SB, but I bet their in the final 4 / final 2 discussion in the near future. they know where their bread is buttered

I doubt they have that 70's mentality where they'll draft 9 of 12defensive guys in the top 60 in a 6 year span
They still be in the hunt . Truth be told, their draft selection of CEH was the crucial mistake. That pick should of been adding another legit Wr.

Factoring in injuries , they’ll hover around top 3 in the AFC because they have a great QB / head coach combination.

Yep. First round RB is almost always a big mistake. Tee Higgins taken with the next pick.

This is a fact. The last QB to win that took up a lot of cap was Steve Young and that was the beginning of when the cap started.

But someone will break through I’m pretty sure; situations like injuries etc. etc. will allow it to happen.

I wouldn’t consider hope, play and randel el big money studs.
I’ll have to look them up
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
