    Has Tomlin lost this team?

I think so. Players like Bush and Claypool, at tie with the winless Lions, any your typical late season collapse.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Did you see Tomlin throw the players under the bus during the after-game presser? When Tomlin was rightfully talking about replacing players if they can't get the job done a reporter asked if that also went for coaches. Tomlin said "What do you mean? I have not missed a tackle in a long time. We coaches have not...........

I don't think just yet but the Tits game is the tipping point.
If we win, I think we can go on an epic run (a la 2005- yep we can win in KC).
If we lose, I think we unravel.

No brother as we used to say back in the day. " This defense isn't fit to carry the jock of the 2005 defense".

I don't think Tomlin is losing the team but what he's left working with is JV. I think we're already past a tipping point, already started the unravel process. In the past 5 games, the only shining moment has been beating a beat-up Rats team by 1 point. Otherwise, it's been a tie with the worst team in the league, giving up 41 to the Chargers, a Bungles beat-down, and open floodgates with the Vikings.

Beating the division-leading 9-4 Titans isn't impossible - they're not setting the league on fire. But I don't see it happening. At least it's at home after an extended week, so that helps.

I believe he has. If they get run on by Tennessee's backups tomorrow it's going to get ugly. Vets are fed up. Imagine this team without Ben and Heyward.

losing to a 9-4 Titans team isn’t the end of the world but it may end our chances at the playoffs.

but then again, this season has been unpredictable and the last 2 playoffs spots are still wide open.

Depends on how they lose. If it follows the Minn script, they'll be in a complete tailspin.

Lost his team to me means they are failing to respond to him. I don't believe that to be the case. I think it is a lack of talent and/or consistency on the lines for the most part. They might be listening, they just aren't getting it done. When Heyward takes a breather, the Dline pretty much is bottom of the league. Add in Bush being completely a non-factor and literally the team is playing with 9 guys on defense. The guard position on the OL has been tragically in disrepair. And the tackles are average. Sum it all up, this team is average at best, which is what their record says.

If we lose next week he's officially lost it and a losing season ls likely.

Did anyone else notice the D personnel moves Tomlin has been making? Allen in at LB? Moves of desperation; he knows the guys who are playing aren't getting the job done, but he has no one to replace them with. Playing D is all about want: want to hit, want to tackle, want to impose your will. This D is all out of want. Does that mean MT lost it? At least partially.

I don't know if he's lost the team I just have doubts on whether players totally respect him as a head coach. This is a season where coaching is even more important arguably with some holes on the team and injuries and yet the team seems to trot out pretty much the same gameplan every game and looks it's usual sleep walking self in the first half of games more often than not.

I'd say this is maybe Tomlin's laziest coaching season, just seems like the fire is out maybe, it's like he's on auto-pilot. Like I don't know how the coaches can review game film week after week and decide the offense is fine as is, nothing changes, same play calling and tempo, etc. Just look at how few points the team has scored in the 1st half this season vs. second half and especially the 4th quarter. It's just bad and lazy coaching ultimately.

yeah.. some of these post talk like we expected a deep playoff run and a 13-4 season.

Most people were talking .500 or Tomlin’s first losing season.

and IMO this is the problem with expectations for Tomlin. What could be his first losing season is Tomlin “losing the team”

we’ve had some bad losses and that IS a concern but we have 4 games left and a chance to make the playoffs.

It’s a close call. Can the players win for us? Or can Tomlin lose for us?

I really think it comes down to how well TJ can play in these final few games.

if he plays out of his mind, we tend to win. If he’s out or a non factor, Then Tomlin lost the team.
