Aside from Ben, Which player do we not win without in the last 10 years?

I'm bored and willing to bore every one else with this question. I'm sure most will agree Big Ben has done more than any other player to help this team win since 2004, but take Ben out of the equation, who's next? Is there anyone else that we couldn't have won without them? If you take out Ben, our last SB win would have been against the Rams.

I can't think of 1 single player that has made the impact or an impact close to Ben. Troy? Great player and a hall of famer, but we could win without him, although the stats dont back that up.

Help me find someone as important or at least necessary to our success.

The steepest dropoff in talent from starter to backup during this time period, aside from Ben of course, would have to be Heath Miller.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I guess this is why Ben is paid like he is and everyone else is replaceable.

I'm going to go with another guy... Casey Hampton. Ben and Troy carried that team to a 15-1 record with out Casey, but EVERY year Casey started we were dominant on defense.

Casey was gone for 10 games that season but the Steelers were 17-1 overall with Chris Hoke as a starter.

You have to give Aaron Smith lots of credit for that.

Nope... Troy and it's not even close.

When Troy was out one year we couldn't buy an INT. The first game he returned he had an INT. No one game planned to stop Casey.

EVERYONE game plans for Troy P

Troy. Particularly during his prime, the defense was completely different without him.

Hampton probably is the biggest even more than Troy. But, Troy would be a close second, following with Bettis and Ward.
