» Starting left guard Chris Kemoeatu said his knee felt better Friday than it did Thursday, when a teammate fell on it at practice. "I'm feeling good, and I didn't think it was going to feel as good as it did,'' Kemoeatu said.

» Left tackle Max Starks and QB Byron Leftwich were full participants yesterday. Starks will start against Tampa Bay after missing last week's game because of a sprained ankle. Leftwich, who missed the first two games with a knee injury, will serve as Charlie Batch's backup against the Buccaneers. Hines Ward, who was limited Thursday with a calf injury, was also full participant.

» Antwaan Randle-El said offensive players are concerned but trying not to make a big deal about scoring only one touchdown in the first nine quarters. "We know where we are as an offense," said Randle El, who will serve as the emergency quarterback against the Buccaneers. "There's no stress. At 0-2, there might be a little stress." As for the offense concentrating on Tampa Bay rookie starting free safety Cody Grimm, the son of former Steelers assistant and Hall of Fame offensive lineman Russ Grimm, Randle-El said, "We don't know if we'll attack him, but he'll get his work."
