worst player tonight was 37 Kyler McMichael. Horrible, couldnt cover one of Jerrys kids.

Yea. He stood out, and not in a good way.

I wrote this before Sawyer got in.

He looks like he belongs. Depth at OLB is going to be strong this year.

He was very active, flying around, made a couple run tackles.....but the knock on him coming out of OS is he is a very smart well rounded player good at everything, but no great at anything because he doesnt have the superstar "athletic" traits like a TJ Watt.......which is what i saw with him being just a tad late to make splash plays all night......of course it's just 1 preseason game.

By the way, know who led the D in tackles ? Mark Brueners son

More than half, but these guys are fighting for a roster spot at best. They looked slow and confused to me.

No disrespect but I think your evaluation on the defense is a bit unrealistic.

While we want to see splash plays, I also think coaches want to see units in different circumstances to get evaluations.

Beanie Bishop made a great tackle on 3rd and 4 on Travis Hunter that would normally be a 3 and out.

I think we played fine on defense and we only had 2 starters. You make it sound like we were giving up huge gains and chasing guys all over the field.

Dude, these people were bashing Beanie Bishop while the commentators were praising his play.

Folks have playoff expectations while watching the preseason.

I’m leaning towards the idea that the coaches want to see reps and aren’t really concerned with 3 and outs.

I also appreciate how coaches are going for it on 4th down early because they know their units may only play one series so it gives them a chance to see them in “pressure” situations.
