Right. So, if we go with Fields next season, we'll have him suffer in an offense not designed for him and continue to play not-to-lose offensive football.

This offense is going to continue to suck until we decide the hire an offensive mind and let him create and offense that suits the personnel.

I don't think there's a better example of developing a QB in the modern NFL (i.e. post UFA/cap) than what the Rats did with Lamar.

Milroe's scouting report sure reads a lot like Malik Willis'. I watch very little college ball so have no idea if he's actually good or not but if ya can't read a defense in the SEC...

I did see that McCord showed out at the East/West game. I'm not a McCord in the 1st guy but he does seem worthy of a day 2 pick.

The game is Thursday, McCord is showing out in drills and practice. He’s very immobile and not good under pressure, feels like he’d need a great supporting cast. Milroe measures in with carney hands, I might be down to Ewers and Howard.

Yeah, what Harbaugh and the Ravens did with the "freak" is really good coaching and development of a team.

They clearly did the right things with Lamar. But I think it's less about "developing a QB" and more about designing an offense around a philosophy that fit the players they had. And then continuing to build on that philosophy.

I think I would have agreed with you more a few seasons ago. But I also generally agree that most players don't really "develop" in the NFL.

But he's become much better as a passer.

Now maybe that's just the natural process. But I think they way they revamped their offense gave him time to mature into the passer he was this year.

Milroe's draft stock seems to be dropping with his Sr. Bowl practice performance.

Former Alabama QB Humiliates Himself With Shockingly Bad Interception

                          January 30, 2025

Jalen Milroe's NFL Draft stock appears to be tanking.

The former Alabama QB is currently at the Senior Bowl, and it appears to be nothing short of a total disaster.

Footage came out a couple of days ago of the dual-threat QB, who many think is a lock for the first round, skipping a ball off the ground……against zero defense.

Now, more tape has surfaced that is comical.

The former Alabama QB kept up his horrible play Wednesday with an interception that was downright hilarious.

He threw the ball directly to a DB, and there's simply no defense for this kind of garbage play. None.

Has there been a QB that has done a better job of putting awful tape at the Senior Bowl in recent memory? It's seriously hard to believe how much Jalen Milroe is just torpedoing his stock.

Skipping balls off the ground, throwing pathetic interceptions and telegraphing plays with his feet. Not great, Jalen!

Not defending Milroe but that’s a common INT in the NFL, guy dropped into coverage and he didn’t see him.

What Todd McShay said about Jalen Milroe at Senior Bowl:

“He's not accurate short to intermediate,” McShay said of Milroe, noting the QB had a tough week so far. “He's missing and he's missing by sizable amounts and it's concerning.

There's more than one video out there of him skipping passes on the ground this week. He has shown he can hit some nice deep passes, but short to intermediate has been an adventure all week. This guy is nothing more than a long term project that might never pan out.
