Are we the worst team in the NFL in the last four games?

Are we the worst team in the NFL in the last four games? For games is a trend. Art Rooney II must either pass down his ownership to his son, or clean house and fire Tomlin. That is if he still cares.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Art II cares about the bottom line-- money. As long as he's got a nice stream of $$$ rolling in, don't expect any major changes. He's content to live on the glory of past championships.

Art II business which he cares about is in a clear decline. Soon fan anger will turn into apathy.

And I'm saying I don't think you'll see him make any significant changes until it starts to hurt his revenue stream.

Only other chance we have of seeing change is if he should happen to decide it's time to hand control off to his son.

I am always reminded of a story from the Cowher book. There was a player who IIRC was a FA and Cowher went into Rooney's office (I think Dan) and told him that he thought he should pay the FA - thinking he was telling him how much value he brought to the team as a player. The response was a very brief: Don't tell me how to spend my money.

It's all about the money. Looking back at how the Matt Canada situation was dealt with, he wasn't let go until his contract ended. How will this effect the team moving forward? Tomlin just signed an extension through 2027. He will not be fired while under contract - okay, maybe after 2026 if failure continues. Realistically, the only way that Tomlin is gone before that is if either he retires or is traded.

Is it? Are you just stating a frustrated call on your part? Is the revenue going down year over year? I don't know. That is what it's about.

How is the season ticket situation
Is there still a wait? I heard somebody say the wait was dropping. What does that mean 3 years versus 5?

I believe the Rooney's are about heritage, legacy and making money. It would be impossible for Art to fire or trade Mike Tomlin. I won't get in to all the logic around it.

I mentioned in another thread that Art may pass the torch if there is a suitable replacement and let them trade or move on.

It’s obvious to anyone who knows how the world works. The old man doesn’t want to be called bad names.

No, I think at least 10% of the fans who buy the tickets have had enough. Art may pass the totch to his son. And Tomlin might be gone. The speculation has been rather big,

Tickets and merch are small potatoes when compared to the media deals. Say they don't sell 10k seats per game at $125/ticket x 8 games... Only $10 mil. That's in the noise... Teams are getting like $300 mil per year from the media deals.

How do you determine that 10%+ of the Steelers fans who pay for the tickets have had it with Tomlin, and to a lesser extent Art Rooney II?

I will say that it is very likey that Tomlin fails to win a playofff game for seven years in a row, and finishes the on a 5 game losing streak. But what the heck do I know? I could be wrong.

I would not want to be the winner of that bet.

The sig bet is on whether Tomlin will be gone or not before the start of the next season.

This is exactly right, the owner doesn't care about 10% of ticket sales, not that the Steelers would lose ticket sales any how. There are alot more steeler fans than that stadium holds so even if 10% of current ticket holders said they were leaving, they would instantly be replaced.

We have an MLB franchise right next door that doesn't care about winning and only cares about making money.
